How much caffeine does Lit have?

Lit Energy’s 16 fl. oz variant has 250mg of caffeine. This amount is relatively high for an energy drink, considering that the recommended daily intake is 400mg.

Caffeine-sensitive people may find Lit too much. That high amount of caffeine can cause an intense adrenaline rush, irregular heartbeats, and even sleeping disorders, as well as anxiety and depression.

Studies also show that highly caffeinated beverages can affect the insulin sensitivity of individuals.

Caffeine dependence can also result in caffeine addiction, resulting in long-term effects such as anxiety and stomach problems.

It’s also worth mentioning that Lit Energy uses caffeine anhydrous, a more concentrated version of caffeine. It’s quickly more potent than its regular counterpart.

This is why you need to listen to your body whenever you’re introducing it to something new. The energy drink brands may share similar ingredients, but they all have different blends that your body may or may not take accordingly.

Sugar Contents

The excellent news is Lit Energy does not contain table sugars, only artificial sweeteners in the form of sucralose.

According to the FDA, these substitutes are at least 200 times sweeter than their natural counterparts. As for sucralose, it’s 400-700 times sweeter, fully exhibiting that a small portion can go a long way.

Artificial sweeteners are considered the better alternative because they are often calorie-free and can be consumed by diabetics.

However, just like table sugars, excessive consumption of artificial sweeteners can negatively affect the body.

Some journals suggest that these substitutes increase the risk of type II diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, and excessive weight gain, among other irregularities.

Therefore, you should be self-disciplined in your use notwithstanding the FDA’s green light.

Lit Energy and Sugar Crash

Since this brand doesn’t contain any natural sugars, it won’t cause a sugar crash. These declines only occur when the energy drink, or any beverage for that matter, contains moderate to high amounts of glucose.

Sugar crashes are medically known as reactive hypoglycemia.

Having a sugar crash is life-threatening when your blood sugar levels drop below 70 milligrams per deciliter. Such regular occurrences can also trigger type II diabetes if left untreated.

You can check out this YouTube video to learn more about sugar crashes and how to spot them.

Lit Energy vs. Lit AF

While Lit Energy is endorsed as an energy drink that can also function as a pre-workout, its developers have also come up with a pre-workout supplement named Lit A.F.

Lit A.F. is a powdered pre-workout drink that caters to a total of 20 servings per tub. It’s a clinically formulated drink that pushes its user beyond their limits to help them improve their performance.

For starters, a scoop of this product contains 300mg of caffeine. Lit A.F. is a more potent product when compared to Lit Energy. I don’t recommend using it if you are a newbie in the E.D. world.

Moreover, Lit A.F. focuses on helping frequent gym attendees exceed their regular performances to gain better results in the process. So unless you’re used to powdered supplements and have a very active lifestyle, I suggest using this sister product of Lit Energy.

Alternatives to Lit Energy

So let’s say that Lit Energy may be too much for you to handle. You still have a lot of options and I’ve compiled the best of them in the list below!

Red Bull

If you don’t know Red Bull, then I’m assuming that you live under a rock. This brand is dubbed the King of energy drinks and is widely used by athletes, especially in racing.

It’s relatively smaller than its competitors by being 8.4 fl. oz in size. It contains 110 calories, 28g of sugar, and 80 mg of caffeine, among other ingredients.

Red Bull is known to be an effective energy drink that’s as strong as a cup of coffee. However, it poses the possibility of causing a sugar crash due to its high sugar content. Nonetheless, if you want to ease yourself into energy drinks, then Red Bull can be your first brand to try.

Aspire

If you’re more into healthier options, then Aspire can be your next buddy.

A 12 fl. oz can of this product is sugar and calorie-free while sporting 80mg of caffeine. It’s also packed with various essential vitamins and minerals like the B-Vitamins complex group, to name a few.

It’s also vegan-friendly as it’s made with natural and plant-based ingredients!

REIZE (10 out of 10!)

Reize Energy Drink Sachet

But out of all the brands I’ve tried, REIZE is still the best thing I’ve ever had!

This 4g sachet contains 50mg of caffeine, 11 calories, and is sugar-free! It also includes many essential vitamins and minerals such as Taurine, Ginseng, and the B-Vitamins group. This means that you’ll be reaping all the benefits of energy drinks without worrying about side effects.

REIZE is also travel-friendly as it does not take up much space in your bag compared to other E.D.s packed in cans and tubs. You can whip up a delicious glass of fizzy energy drink anytime and anywhere.

You can also get your sachet for only around $1 each while having it shipped straight to your door.

That’s amazing value for your money.

So if I were you, I’d try REIZE today and not waste this opportunity!

You can also take a peek at these other brands to explore more E.D.s you may want in the future.

Final Judgement

Lit Energy is certainly not for everyone, especially with its moderately high caffeine content. In my opinion, it doesn’t really stand out much from its competitors, considering its ingredients and supplements aren’t really that different from most existing brands.

Lit Energy is designed for active individuals who can actually use up everything that you can get from a single can of the product as it has high contents in the first place. I also recommend using this product if you are physically healthy and have long been consuming energy drinks already.

All in all, Lit Energy does work for those who need it, but it’s not really for everyone and anyone’s regular consumption.

As I said, you have plenty of options and you should take the time to find the right energy drink formula for you.
