How Long Does Bang Last? (Things You Should Expect)

What began as a “good everyday energy drink” has evolved into the next big thing in the fitness industry, dubbed the “Bang revolution” by fitness enthusiasts.

Indeed, Bang energy drink appears to be creating buzz among fitness enthusiasts all over the world with its new and novel energy drinks combining creatine, BCAA’s, and CoQ10, which are the first of their type on the market and are touted to improve mental and physical capacities.

So, how long does Bang last?

An opened can of Bang Energy lasts two to three days, but I recommend not dragging it out and finishing it within a few hours of opening the can. Furthermore, unopened energy drinks have a shelf life of 6 to 9 months. Keep your energy drinks at room temperature and out of direct sunlight for the longest shelf life.

Stick around as we dive into all of the details and take a closer look at Bang energy drink.

Caffeine Content of Bang Energy

Bang energy drink contains 300mg of caffeine per 16 oz. can.

Bang Energy is one of the most caffeinated energy drinks on the market, containing 300mg of caffeine, and will leave you feeling quite awake after one.

Since I prefer my energy drinks to contain between 50 and 100mg of caffeine per serving, 300mg is too much and should be avoided if you are caffeine sensitive.

If you’re used to caffeine and have a stronger caffeine metabolism, 300mg of caffeine may be all you need to get going.

However, it is advisable not to consume too much caffeine and this research advised that you limit your daily caffeine intake to 400mg. Going above that limit can have serious consequences, such as follows:

  1. Insomnia
  2. Shakiness
  3. Anxiousness
  4. Increased Heart Rate
  5. Stomachaches
  6. Nausea
  7. Headaches

Does Bang Energy Have Sugar?

Bang is completely sugar-free and will not negatively impact your health in the same way that many other sugary energy drinks do.

While the lack of sugar is beneficial to your health, you won’t experience the same sugary ‘buzz’ as you would with other energy drinks.

That being stated, you will avoid the chance of a sugar crash with Bang Energy because the lack of sugar will not elevate your blood sugar levels.

As always, try not to consume too much sugar in general. This particular research recommends a daily sugar limit of no more than 25g for women and 36g for men.

Artificial Sweeteners in Bang Energy

While Bang is sugar-free, it does contain artificial sweeteners, including sucralose.

Sucralose is a zero-calorie sweetener that is 200 to 700 times sweeter than table sugar.

Sucralose has no nutritional value other than adding sweetness to Bang energy drinks because it contains no calories.

This study has permitted artificial sweeteners, so as long as you don’t consume too many cans of Bang per day, you shouldn’t be concerned about the sucralose concentration in Bang.

Other Ingredients of Bang Energy

Bang Energy includes a few other ingredients in its formula.

EAAs

Bang includes all essential amino acids, including BCAAs like L-leucine, L-isoleucine, and L-valine, as well as lysine, threonine, phenylalanine, histidine, methionine, and tryptophan.

EAAs are necessary amino acids that the body cannot make on its own and must be obtained from food.

If you eat a well-balanced diet, you’ll probably get enough EAAs that the additional quantity found in Bang won’t make much of a difference.

Super Creatine

Super Creatine is a Bang Energy unique substance that is allegedly conventional creatine that has been linked with an amino acid for improved absorption.

Creatine is commonly considered a sports supplement, with numerous potential benefits including increased athletic performance and muscle strength.

It should be noted, however, that the effects of creatine are actually less when combined with caffeine, which Bang Energy contains 300mg of.

Given the fact that Bang contains a lot of caffeine, it’s dubious whether the creatine concentration will have any effect at all.

CoQ10

Coenzyme Q10 is a substance that occurs naturally in the body and primarily functions as an antioxidant, protecting cells from injury, and is essential to your body’s metabolism.

While this may sound incredible, a common effective daily dose of CoQ10 is between 100 and 200mg.

B Vitamins

While B vitamins are present, Bang does not have as many as some other energy beverages. However, given how some energy drinks go overboard with it, you may find Bang’s B vitamin concentration to be fairly sensible.

The table below should give you an idea of what each B-Vitamin in Bang accomplishes, and you can get more information by clicking here.

VitaminFunctions
Vitamin B3Helps the body release energy, and keeps the skin healthy.
Vitamin B6Store energy from protein and carbohydrates, formation of red blood cells
Vitamin B12Release energy from food, forms red blood cells, keeps the nervous system healthy

How Long Does Bang Energy Last?

An opened can of Bang Energy lasts for two to three days, however, I suggest not to drag it and finish within a few hours of opening the can.

Because energy drinks are acidic, they will keep for a long period without spoiling. All that will happen is that it will run out of gas. The main source of energy is glucose; caffeine, on the other hand, just stimulates; yet, these components do not lose effectiveness with age. Some people believe that B vitamins provide energy, but in reality, they only boost your cells’ ability to metabolize sugar efficiently.

So an opened can would be energizing for as long as it was open.

Unopened energy drinks typically have a shelf life of 6 to 9 months. For the longest shelf life, keep your energy drinks at room temperature and out of direct sunlight.

Preservatives are almost always listed as an ingredient in energy drinks. Companies utilize preservatives for a variety of purposes, one of which is to achieve a longer shelf life and Bang Energy uses sodium benzoate which works as the main preservative.

Here’s how to increase the shelf life of products and beverages.

Things I Like About Bang Energy

  1. Increase focus, alertness, and performance
  2. EAAs may help exercise performance
  3. Sugar-free
  4. Super creatine may be a good thing but most people disagree with this
  5. CoQ10 may help provide energy to cells
  6. Good taste
  7. Reasonable price

Things I Don’t Like About Bang Energy

  1. Too much caffeine
  2. Too expensive (in my opinion)

How Long Does Bang Energy Last in Your System?

The caffeine in a can of Bang energy drink takes an average of 12 hours to completely leave your system. Caffeine has a half-life of 5 to 6 hours, which means that you’ll still have 150mg of caffeine in your bloodstream 5 hours after drinking a can of Bang.

This implies that it will take around 12 hours for all traces of caffeine in a can of Bang to be eliminated from your body. Any favorable effects from drinking Bang will have worn off within 12 hours.

According to research, drinking energy drinks can cause people to fail drug tests due to the presence of THC in the body which is linked to consuming Marijuana.

Is Bang Energy Bad For You?

Bang energy drinks are not particularly harmful to your health if drunk in moderation. Bang is far from the miracle drink that some claim it to be, but it’s also probably not any worse for you than any other energy drink.

With all of the controversy surrounding Bang’s ingredient claims, it’s obvious why some individuals avoid Bang entirely. Bang does not offer enough information regarding the amount of Super Creatine, BCAAs, or CoQ10 in a can for us to determine if there is enough of any of these inside a can to provide many health advantages.

That is precisely the issue.

Bang has previously made a slew of outlandish health claims regarding their drinks, but those claims have not only not been supported by evidence, but have also landed Bang in a slew of lawsuits.

Because of the high caffeine concentration, I wouldn’t recommend taking Bang regularly.

Bang Energy Alternatives

There are plenty of excellent energy drinks on the market. If you’re seeking some similar, liquid-based energy drinks with less caffeine than Bang, consider these:

  1. Monster
  2. Red Bull
  3. Celsius
  4. Rockstar
  5. Reign
  6. Xyience

Caffeine pills or Mio water drops are both alternatives to standard energy drinks if you want something a little different and more efficient.

Powdered energy drinks are another wonderful alternative, and they are handier and less expensive than many of the well-known energy beverages.

They contain less caffeine than Bang, but are often less expensive and easier to use:

  1. G Fuel
  2. Zipfizz
  3. Advocare Spark
  4. REIZE (10 out of 10)

REIZE, for example, is an energy drink that is simple to transport and prepare: simply add water. REIZE does not have the same quantity of caffeine as Bang, but it is a far more handy and cost-effective option.

REIZE is sugar-free and contains a clever blend of taurine, ginseng, and B vitamins that work in tandem with caffeine to provide the optimal energy boost without the crash.

REIZE ships right to your door for roughly $1 per drink, which is significantly less expensive than Bang, what an excellent value for money!

Bottom Line

An opened can of Bang Energy last two to three days, but I recommend completing it within a few hours of opening the can.

Unopened energy drinks also have a shelf life of 6 to 9 months. For the longest shelf life, keep your energy drinks at room temperature and out of direct sunlight.

But, if you want something simple, you can try REIZE that is easy to pack and mix—just add water.

REIZE also has a clever blend of taurine, ginseng, and B vitamins that act in tandem with caffeine to offer the best energy boost—without the crash.
