How much caffeine is in Adrenaline Shoc?

Adrenaline Shoc energy drink contains 300mg of caffeine in each can. Though, as stated on the can, the amount of caffeine in Adrenaline Shoc energy drink comes from a natural energy blend consisting of a few ingredients.

First, let’s talk about that caffeine content.

With 300mg of caffeine, Adrenaline Shoc has earned a spot among the strongest energy drinks in the market, alongside Bang and Reign energy drinks.

Personally, that’s way above my caffeine preference.

I usually stick with 50mg – 100mg of caffeine per drink at a time. Drinking more than that in one serving usually leaves me with a slight headache and the jitters.

However, I understand that everyone’s preferences for caffeine are different and you might like something stronger than I do.

Adrenaline Shoc’s natural caffeine energy blend is made up of different ingredients like green coffee beans, guarana seed extract, coffee fruit extract, and yerba mate extract which gives it a more potent effect.

In retrospect, since Adrenaline Shoc is marketed as a workout energy drink, the extra caffeine could help improve physical performance.

Caffeine has been proven to enhance exercise performance after all.

Plus, given that it’s naturally-sourced, I’d say that makes it healthier compared to regular energy drinks.

Regardless of how beneficial it may sound, you should still control your daily caffeine intake. The FDA recommends that healthy adults consume no more than 400mg of caffeine in a day.

Too much caffeine can lead to nasty side effects or worse, a caffeine overdose.

Excessive caffeine intake includes health risks like:

  • Anxiety and nervousness
  • Insomnia
  • Digestive issues
  • Muscle breakdown
  • Addiction
  • High blood pressure
  • Rapid heart rate
  • Fatigue
  • Frequent urination

This also depends on your sensitivity to caffeine and how often you consume caffeine. If you drink caffeine on a daily basis, then you might like the kick you’ll get from having Adrenaline Shoc.

How much sugar is in Adrenaline Shoc?

sugar and a heart shaped sugar on the top.
Too much sugar is bad for your health.

Adrenaline Shoc energy drink is completely sugar-free. But, it substitutes sugar with acesulfame potassium and sucralose, which are artificial sweeteners.

Since Adrenaline Shoc is sugar-free, you might not get the sugar rush that you usually get from traditional energy drinks that have sugar in them.

However, sugar-free options do provide more benefits to your diet and lifestyle.

The American Heart Association (AHA) has a guideline on the maximum daily sugar consumption:

Stay within this limit for optimum health.

With Adrenaline Shoc being sugar-free, you don’t need to worry about consuming too much sugar while still being able to enjoy a delicious and sweet energy drink.

It also means you won’t have to worry about a sugar crash happening afterward.

Artificial sweeteners like sucralose and acesulfame potassium are what accounts for the sweetness in Adrenaline Shoc.

Sucralose and acesulfame potassium are both zero-calorie sweeteners so don’t worry about them affecting your daily caloric count.

However, according to this research, artificial sweeteners could trigger changes that are similar to sugar and may cause an increase in certain health risks like diabetes and weight gain.

There’s still a lot that we don’t know about artificial sweeteners, and the accumulated evidence over the years have been a mixed bunch.

Even though these sweeteners are approved for use, it’s best to consume them in moderate amounts and consult a healthcare professional if you’re unsure about whether they’re suitable for you or not.

What BCAAs are in Adrenaline Shoc energy drink?

The BCAAs in Adrenaline Shoc are L-Leucine, L-Isoleucine and L-Valine, and they mainly benefits muscle growth and athletic performance.

BCAAs (Branched-Chain-Amino-Acids) are essential amino acids that you can only obtain from sources in your diet.

BCAAs are beneficial in augmenting your exercise performance because they can:

  • Minimize muscle soreness
  • Increase muscle mass
  • Reduce blood sugar levels
  • Decrease fatigue during exercise
  • Improve weight loss

As great as having all these amino acids in a can of Adrenaline Shoc energy drink sounds, my advice is to get your daily dosage of BCAAs from foods like meat, fish, cheese, and tofu – basically protein-rich foods for a more balanced diet.

Other ingredients

B vitamins are important to your overall wellbeing and health. To be honest, Adrenaline Shoc has very little B vitamins that they probably won’t offer as much of the positive effects on your health.

Here’s some quick info on B vitamins and how the B vitamins in Adrenaline Shoc compares:

B vitaminsPurposeAmount per 16 fl.oz of Adrenaline ShocTolerable Upper Intake Level
Vitamin B3 (niacin)Energy production8mg35mg

Vitamin B9 (folic acid, a synthetic version of folate)Treat folate deficiency, the natural of form of vitamin B950mcg1000mcg

Coenzyme Q-10, or CoQ10, is a naturally-produced compound that helps in energy production.

It also can act as an antioxidant and protects your cells from oxidative damage, which could help enhance power and decrease fatigue during exercise.

We don’t know how much CoQ10 is in Adrenaline Shoc, but if I had to guess, I would guess there’s only a tiny amount.

Adrenaline Shoc Review

Now let’s get into the juicy bit.

What does Adrenaline Shoc energy drink taste like?

The first thing that came to mind while I was drinking Adrenaline Shoc was its crispness. Adrenaline Shoc tastes clean and refreshing but it did have a little chemical taste though the aftertaste isn’t as strong as Reign or Bang.

This is based on only one flavor (Shoc Wave) and the taste might differ from one flavor to another, perhaps the other flavors are better.

Overall, in my opinion, although it took me some time to get used to the taste, it was pretty enjoyable to drink.

Does Adrenaline Shoc energy drink work?

More information about Adrenalin Shoc on the back of the can.
Adrenaline Shoc boasts of its Natural Smart Energy Blend.

During lunchtime, I had a can of Adrenaline Shoc but didn’t feel any significant changes immediately after drinking it. It was only after about an hour of consuming Adrenaline Shoc energy drink that I felt a strong boost of energy while working.

I admit that the energy boost from Adrenaline Shoc is different from the other energy drinks I’ve tried.

While other energy drinks have helped improve my concentration and alertness, Adrenaline Shoc made me quite hyper that I got restless and jittery quickly.

I’d chalk this effect to the crazy high caffeine content (300mg of caffeine per can) in Adrenaline Shoc.

Though, the caffeine buzz did begin to fade away around the 4 hour mark.

Personally, I wouldn’t recommend Adrenaline Shoc to anyone with a lower caffeine tolerance.

Adrenaline Shoc is probably better for intensive workouts or rigorous athletic training sessions, as the energy boost is more than enough to get you on your feet and moving about.

There are perks of the high levels of caffeine in Adrenaline Shoc though, as the caffeine comes from natural sources making it a potentially healthier alternative.

However, I wouldn’t recommend drinking Adrenaline Shoc within 6 hours before sleeping to ensure you won’t be tossing and turning throughout the night.

So, if you’re wondering if Adrenaline Shoc energy drink really works, I’d say yes, it does work, maybe a little too well thanks to the high caffeine content.

If you’re planning to drink this for mentally-demanding tasks, I think you should opt for other lighter energy drinks instead.

All things considered, based on my personal preference I give Adrenaline Shoc energy drink an 8/10.

Adrenaline Shoc probably makes a more suitable occasional drink when you really need the energy boost rather than as an everyday drink.

Where can you buy Adrenaline Shoc?

Adrenaline Shoc is available for purchase from its official website or online retailers like Amazon and eBay. You can also find Adrenaline Shoc in your local stores.

On Amazon, a 12-pack of 16 fl.oz Adrenaline Shoc energy drink costs around $45, which means one can of Adrenaline Shoc is $3.75.

In my opinion, Adrenaline Shoc is a little on the pricey side of the energy drink price spectrum.

However, compared to Reign and Bang energy drinks, Adrenaline Shoc can be considered reasonable for what it offers and the number of beneficial ingredients it has.

If you’ve more money to spare, Adrenaline Shoc energy drink might be a good investment for you.

Alternatives to Adrenaline Shoc

Adrenaline Shoc may be great if you need a strong caffeine kick or if you work out often, but there are lots of other great energy drink options that work just as well which you can try:

Powdered energy drinks also make good alternatives if versatility and convenience are important to you:

REIZE Energy Drink (10 out of 10)

REIZE energy drink sachet and iced energy drink in a glass
REIZE offers just the right amount of energy boost.

While Adrenaline Shoc is a more powerful energy drink with a strong caffeine buzz, REIZE makes a friendlier energy drink in my opinion.

REIZE energy drink is an awesome energy drink powder that comes in convenient 4g sachets.

With a sensible 50mg of caffeine, REIZE is also completely sugar-free and only has 11 calories per serve.

REIZE is packed with a dynamic blend of ginseng, taurine, and B vitamins – ingredients that work together to provide you with a great energy boost without the dreaded crash afterward.

Best of all, REIZE is a great value for money, running you a very reasonable price of only around $1, including shipping right to your door.

Give REIZE a try and I’m sure you’ll agree that it’s a smarter choice than Adrenaline Shoc.
