Best energy drink in the morning (rise and shine!)

I don’t know about you, but sometimes the only thing that gets me excited for the next morning is because I know I’ll be getting a cup of coffee.

I’m already tired thinking about the day I’ve to go through and I know I’ll be dependent on energy boosters.

Other than coffee, I sometimes like energy drinks instead. It’s a refreshing beverage that provides me the energy I need and I like the buzz I get from it.

Maybe you’re considering energy drinks to kickstart your morning? Well, read on to find out more, I’ll be recommending some good ones too at the end of this post.

What to look for in an energy drink

Caffeine is the main ingredient in energy drinks to boost your energy levels. Caffeine is beneficial for your health as it’s helpful for your brain stimulation as well.

This is why caffeine is so “important” every morning, to wake us up and enable us to function better.

Everyone reacts to caffeine differently, some has a higher caffeine tolerance meaning they can consume larger doses of caffeine without having side effects. Even so, it’s recommended to limit yourself to 400mg daily.

Choose an energy drink with moderate caffeine amount suitable for your tolerance so as to be able to fully utilize what energy drinks can help you with.

Sugar is also responsible for boosting energy levels. This is why something sweet can help you perk up temporarily. However, excess sugar can result in impending sugar crashes, which would leave you sluggish afterwards.

Therefore, it’s important to limit your sugar intake in the morning so as to not have a sugar crash mid-day. Thankfully many energy drinks nowadays are sugar free, which is good news for all.

I find price an important factor when I choose an energy drink. Because seriously, why pay more for basically the same ingredients?

Sometimes trying out new energy drinks are also good, you might like it more and it might be cheaper.

Rushing out of the door every morning is a routine, who has the time to go the extra length for energy drinks? My suggestion, buy in bulks via Amazon, it’s cheaper than buying a can a day from the store.

If you aren’t able to store your cans of energy drinks at the office or school, then maybe you could opt for powdered energy drinks?

These sachet forms are small and simple to carry around, and you just easily mix it in water to enjoy it anytime, anywhere. It’s also usually cheaper than energy drinks in a can.

Is it OK to drink caffeine in the morning?

It’s okay to drink caffeine in the morning. In fact, it’s beneficial for you as caffeine can stimulate your brain functions to wake you up and energize you for your daily activities.

Consider caffeine as an alarm for your brain and you can get caffeine from various sources. The most common one would be coffee, but energy drinks are able to deliver you the caffeine boost you need.

Is it OK to drink coffee on an empty stomach?

It actually depends on your body’s tolerance towards caffeine.

Some suggests black coffee as breakfast, especially those on an intermittent fast.

Coffee actually causes stomach acid production and when taken on an empty stomach, the acid has nothing to “chew” on other than your stomach lining. Which is why you might want to eat something first or along side your morning cup of joe.

Sometimes coffee on an empty stomach can exacerbate the side effects of caffeine you get. If you notice your stomach is not reacting well to coffee in the morning, you shouldn’t further consume it then.

What is a good drink for energy in the morning?

• Green smoothies – the best way to get your breakfast in especially when you’re rushing out the door. It’s also a good energy booster and very nutritious

• Green tea – an ideal choice for those wanting less caffeine and a healthy energy boost

Can you drink energy drinks on an empty stomach?

Once again, it’s dependable on your body’s tolerance towards caffeine.

It’s advisable to pair caffeinated beverages with food, even though you might not feel your stomach lining corroding, prevention is better than cure.

What can I drink in the morning on an empty stomach?

Drinking water in the morning right as you wake up on an empty stomach is actually proven beneficial for you.

Other than the obvious hydration water can provide you, water too can boost your metabolism, flush out toxins and fuel your brain, taking away some sluggish feelings and giving your brain energy

Which energy drink is best to keep you awake?

Choose an energy drink with a good caffeine amount that is suitable to your tolerance.

Different energy drinks have different caffeine content, some up to 500mg and are considered as strong energy drinks

I personally prefer energy drinks with less than 100mg of caffeine, I find that the suitable caffeine amount for me to feel energized without getting the jitters

In terms of branding, I don’t find any difference as most of the contents are pretty much the same. I would prefer cheaper option though.

Can energy drinks help me after no sleep?

Yes, energy drinks can help you in the morning after no sleep.

It’s undeniable that there are nights you couldn’t get a good night’s rest but you still need to wake up for work or school the next morning. The caffeine in energy drinks can help you get through this sleepy situation.

This is because caffeine mimics adenosine (our sleep chemical) and our brains would be “rewired” to not feel sleepy.

And yes, the more caffeine you consume the more awake you’ll be and for a longer time too. But be warned that with a higher dosage of caffeine, you’re most likely to suffer from side effects that could hinder your daily performance.

Can energy drinks help me for my morning exercise?

Yes, energy drinks can help your morning work out to be more effective.

This is because energy drinks can enhance your physical performance naturally due to the caffeine content.

Sugar and taurine that is present in most energy drinks can increase your endurance and stamina for your morning exercise, be it a jog or at the gym.

The best part of your morning exercise? You’ll definitely be more energized to go about your day and your mood too should be better.

What to drink in the morning to lose weight?

Pineapple juice can help to boost your metabolism and citrusy drinks can help cut off belly fat.

However, both have acidic properties, so be sure to have it along side breakfast.

If I drink energy drinks in the morning, can it help me focus better?

Yes, energy drinks in the morning can enable you to focus better.

Energy drinks can stimulate your brain for a better brain function thus the ability to focus well. It can also help with cognitive performance like memory. This is a great advantage for you as you go about your day.

Can I drink Red Bull Energy Drink in the morning?

Yes, you can drink Red Bull Energy Drink in the morning.

An 8.4 fl. oz can of Red Bull contains 80mg of caffeine, 27g of sugar and 110 calories. Based on the caffeine content, I would say it’s a pretty moderate sum and suitable to wake up you in the morning.

However, I’m not a fan of the sugar and calories, unless you’re drinking it before your morning jog, but maybe opt for a healthier energy drink

Going sugar-less means better energy as you won’t be having the sugar-crash after excess sugar consumption.
