How much caffeine is in a Bang Energy Drink?

A 16 fl. oz serving of Band Energy contains 300 mg of caffeine.

Having such a high caffeine content, Bang definitely makes the list for being one of the strongest energy drinks in the market. It gives you a full-blown energy boost that keeps you awake and alert when you need a kick to finish your tasks or when you’re burning the midnight oil.

On the other hand, taking into consideration the amount of caffeine, I wouldn’t recommend it to everyone.

If you are sensitive to caffeine, the amount of caffeine in Bang can be too much.

For me, the best energy drinks are those containing between 50 and 100 milligrams of caffeine in each serving.

Note that the Food and Drug Authority (FDA) recommends 400 mg of caffeine to ensure you can avoid the side effects of the stimulant such as:

  • Anxiety
  • Headaches
  • Insomnia
  • Increased heart rate
  • Nausea
  • Shakiness
  • Stomachaches

Of course, you can’t always be too certain about how accurate the caffeine content of an energy drink may be, as according to my Bang Energy Drink Lab Tests, you might find that the actual caffeine content may be shockingly lower than what is advertised.

Just to stay safe, stick to one can of Bang in a day to avoid any of the nasty symptoms mentioned above.

Magnesium in Bang Energy Drink

Magnesium is one of the essential minerals that you can have in your body that also plays an important role in your bodily functions.

With that, Bang Energy contains 5 mg of magnesium.

The magnesium in Bang may help your body in terms of:

  • healthy and strong bone formation
  • controlling your glucose and improving insulin metabolism
  • keeping your heart healthy
  • relieving headaches and migraines

Still, 5 mg may not suffice to get the maximum benefits of magnesium.

Calcium in Bang Energy Drink

Bang contains 5 mg of calcium!

Most of the calcium that you consume goes directly into your bones and teeth.

The body cannot produce its own calcium but you can obtain it from your diet.

The National Osteoporosis Foundation (NOF) provided a suggested daily calcium intake according to sex and age which are:

men1,200 mg of calcium per day
women1,000 mg of calcium per day
Recommended Calcium Intake for Men and Women

Calcium gives you the following benefits:

  • promotes bone health and functions
  • regulate and manage muscle contraction

Calorie Content of Bang Energy Drink

Bang Energy Drink is calorie-free.

Even without calories, Bang can still provide you enough energy and vigor to sustain your workout sessions due to its caffeine.

According to health authorities, the recommended daily calorie consumption are as follows:

men2,400 to 3,000 calories per day
women2,000 to 2,400 calories per day
Recommended Calorie Consumption for Men and Women

Does Bang contains sugar?

Bang is sugar-free!

That means, Bang will not give you a sugar crash.

For reference, the American Heart Association (AHA) proposes a daily sugar limit of 36 g for men and 24 g for women to avoid the side effects of sugar.

While Bang doesn’t contain any sugar, it doesn’t mean that it’s completely tasteless. The answer to its sweet flavor lies in the use of artificial sweeteners. And Bang is using sucralose!

Sucralose is an artificial sweetener that is used to replace sugar in foods and beverages. It is a non-nutritive sweetener that is 200 to 600 times sweeter than regular sugar.

Although there are some controversies about artificial sweeteners in general, the FDA has approved them to be safe for general consumption.

Still, do not overindulge on food and beverage containing artificial sweeteners!

Is Bang healthy to drink every day?

In general, it is not healthy to drink Bang or any other energy drink on a daily basis.

Although Bang works in terms of providing you with an optimum boost, you can’t consume it every day as long-term consumption may lead to adverse effects.

However, you can drink a can of Bang once in a while and only when you really need it. Also, keep in mind this energy drink is loaded with strong ingredients which may cause harm to your health when consumed in large amounts or regularly.

Does Bang have any health benefits?

Health-wise, Bang Energy does not have health benefits.

On the other hand, if you’re in need of a quick boost that’ll last you for a couple of hours while working, then Bang can be considered a healthy choice, provided you’re consuming it in moderation.

Does Bang Energy really work?

Bang Energy works!

It works best as an energy drink with effects that’ll last for a few hours. Based on experience, I was still feeling the hype 3 hours after consumption.

Still, you’ve gotta watch out the caffeine in Bang as it may be too much for someone with low tolerance to the stimulant.

Check out this article to know how long does Bang Energy Drink last.
