V Iced Coffee Review (Facts)

V Iced Coffee Review (Facts)

Who doesn’t enjoy an iced coffee? Although a hot cup of coffee is a traditional morning pick-me-up, some people might find iced coffee both refreshing and energizing!

It’s not often that an energy drink company dives into coffee, but I’m sure caffeine lovers can appreciate that Australian company V Energy for their iced coffee.

If I have to rate this product, I will give it a five out of ten rating as it has 154mg of caffeine along with a rather huge amount of sugar, guarana extracts, and a few other necessary nutrients.

Of course, there’s more to V Iced Coffee than that, so read on for the full scoop!

Nutrition Facts of V Iced Coffee

V Iced Coffee includes a rather high amount of energy, carbohydrates, and sugar in its recipe. It also includes sodium and other necessary vitamins.

Calorie Content

V Iced Coffee contains 1444kJ per serving.

As a result, V is a caloric-dense beverage. These figures are based on this research that recommends an 8700kJ diet.

I was quite aback by how high the caloric content is. I would not recommend it to anyone on a diet or trying to lose weight because such a large number can lead to weight gain.

V Iced Coffee, on the other hand, can be utilized as a pre-workout, especially if you are bodybuilding.

Because of the very high caloric values, it is best to avoid consuming V Iced Coffee on a regular basis and limit it to once every two days. Daily consumption of these beverages can result in a number of long-term health issues.

Side Effects of Calories

The side effects of consuming too many calories often lead to health complexities, such as:

  1. Cardiovascular Disease
  2. Diabetes
  3. Osteoarthritis
  4. Cognitive Impairment

Sugar Content

V Iced Coffee includes 45 grams (5/8 cups) of sugar per 16.91 ounces which is a lot for an iced coffee brand.

The AHA recommends that men and women consume approximately 37.5g or 9 tsp and 25 g or 6 tsp, respectively.

Although the energy boost it provides is helpful, the additional sugar can be a source of concern. In fact, I prefer caffeinated drinks with artificial sweeteners because they are calorie-free and have no effect on blood glucose levels.

Sugars in beverages or processed meals, such as energy drinks, have been associated with an increased risk of cardiac arrest and stroke.

The side effects of consuming too much sugar often lead to health complexities as follows:

  • fat organs
  • heart disease
  • raise havoc in cholesterol levels
  • linked with Alzheimer’s disease
  • disables your appetite control

Vitamins

A vitamin is an organic substance and is also an important micronutrient that an organism needs in little amounts for appropriate metabolism function.

V Iced Coffee includes a series of B vitamins, which I have listed in the table below along with their functions.

VitaminFunction
Vitamin B2It aids in the conversion of food into energy. Required for good skin, hair, blood, and brain health.
Vitamin B3Aids in the conversion of food into energy and ss kin, erythrocytes, the brain, and the neurological system all benefit from it.
Vitamin B5Aids in the production of lipids (fats), neurotransmitters, steroid hormones, and hemoglobin.
Vitamin B6Reduces the risk of heart disease by reducing homocysteine levels. Aids in the conversion of tryptophan to niacin and serotonin, a neurotransmitter involved in sleep, hunger, and mood.
Vitamin B12Lowers homocysteine levels and may reduce the risk of heart disease. Aids in the formation of new cells and the breakdown of certain fatty acids and amino acids.
Here are the vitamins and their functions.

Caffeine Content of V Iced Coffee

V Iced Coffee has 154 mg of caffeine per serving, which is the same as a double espresso. It is derived from extracts of guarana, coffee robusta, and coffee arabica.

Arabica is well renowned for its mild and sweet flavor, and it can be found all over the world. Meanwhile, Robusta beans have a robust and bitter flavor that may not appeal to everyone.

However, in my opinion, the combination of both beans in V Iced Coffee produced a beautifully balanced flavor with both sweetness and bitterness.

This research recommends that healthy persons limit their daily intake to no more than 400 mg.

Furthermore, the drink contains guarana extract, which is derived from an Amazonian plant that possesses caffeine.

As a result, the energy boost provided by V Iced Coffee may be more evident. However, because caffeine is organically generated, you should be able to avoid the majority of negative effects.

Guarana Fruit.
Guarana Extracts are one of the basic sources of caffeine in V Iced Coffee.

Consuming too much caffeine can possibly lead to the following health complexities.

Is V Iced Coffee Bad For You?

The sugar and caffeine content is pretty high, so this beverage might not be that beneficial for you.

The ingredients in V Iced Coffee are comparable to those in other iced coffees, and the inclusion of caffeine extract and guarana in this cold brew provides the energy you need to function throughout the day.

Caffeine in cold coffee may increase the number of calories burned when resting which may make it easier to lose or maintain weight.

Regularly drinking cold brew coffee may also help keep your blood sugar stable and minimize your chances of type 2 diabetes.

However, as previously said, the calorie content of the drink is extremely high. V Iced Coffee might be harmful to your health if you are unable to burn them off.

Can You Drink V Iced Coffee Every Day?

All of the elements in V Iced Coffee are not harmful, but the high number of calories, sugar, and caffeine make it unsuitable for daily consumption.

Milk is another potential allergen to be concerned about. The immune system’s uncontrolled reactivity to milk and milk-containing products is known as milk allergy.

The following are some of the most common acute signs of milk allergy:

  • loose stools, which may contain blood
  • diarrhea
  • abdominal cramps
  • coughing or wheezing
  • runny nose

Because this caffeinated beverage offers certain health benefits, it’s acceptable to state that you can drink it every day if you consume a reasonable amount of it.

V Iced Coffee Review

If I were to rate this energy drink, I will give it a five out of ten as it includes a rather high amount of caffeine along with a similar high amount of sugar, calories, and carbs.

To begin with, the orange packaging on the container shouts “energy drink” to me, rather than iced coffee. In fact, if I hadn’t seen it in a cafe, I would have dismissed it as just another energy drink.

Now for the taste, the creamy flavor is reminiscent of chocolate milk, which would satisfy any sweet craving! It also has a rich, mocha-like flavor that I enjoyed. Overall, it’s decadent and refreshing, and it’s everything you’d expect from bottled iced coffee.

However, the 45g of sugar is definitely obvious in its extremely sweet taste. There’s no bitterness as you’d find in espresso-based drinks, so if you’re searching for that, V Iced Coffee may not be the drink for you.

The caffeine boost was pleasant, and the guarana made a significant impact. My heart rate climbed slightly, but not significantly. The surge lasted a few hours and kept me going for the rest of the day.

Finally, I paid around $4.00 for the bottle. That was pricey! I believe that the perfect pricing for bottled iced coffee should be less than $3. Any more than that is simply not worth it, as the combination was not particularly innovative in the first place.

Here’s a YouTube video sharing other recipes for iced coffee.

Things I Like About V Iced Coffee

  • provides a boost in energy
  • vibrant packaging

Things I Don’t Like About V Iced Coffee

  • too much sugar, calories, and carbs
  • a bit pricey

Alternatives to V Iced Coffee

Don’t worry if you can’t decide, here’s a list of my workout companions (my fave is towards the end)!

GURU

This water-based energy drink has 100mg of caffeine in 8.4 oz.

Guru contains around 21g of sugar and 80 calories. It is made entirely of organic components and delivers a significant energy boost.

The price of 24 packs of GURU Energy is $48.99 which makes it around $2.50 per can.

G Fuel Can

G Fuel Energy contains 300mg of caffeine per 16 oz. can making it one of the strongest energy beverages.

This energy drink contains no calories and no sugar. While there is no risk of a sugar crash, the high caffeine content should be avoided. Caffeine can make you jittery, which is something no one wants.

You should consider whether powdered EDs are superior to their canned counterparts, depending on your way of life. Powdered energy drinks are less expensive and easier to transport, whereas canned beverages do not require any mixing.

G Fuel 12 cans pack costs around $33 which is around $2.47 per can.

G Fuel cans are well-known, but here’s an energy drink I prefer!

REIZE (Highly Recommended)

REIZE is a low-caffeine powdered energy drink with only 50mg per serving. It’s also sugar-free and has 11 calories!

REIZE Energy Drink.
REIZE Energy Drink

REIZE is likewise only 4g, but it contains many beneficial nutrients such as taurine, ginseng, and B vitamins. All of them, when combined, can undoubtedly keep you going for the day.

The nicest thing about powder sachets is that they are easier to transport and can be mixed anyplace. REIZE can be the ideal travel companion if you’re constantly on the run.

That’s not all, you can get REIZE shipped straight to your door for only about $1 which, in my opinion, is an amazing value for your money.

Final Say

V Iced Coffee is chocolate flavored sweet iced coffee that is less acidic and harsh than other coffee, making it more bearable for sensitive individuals.

Try cold brew coffee if you want to try something different with your coffee and see how it compares to your normal hot cup of joe.

Unfortunately, I believe this one has more drawbacks than advantages. Okay, the flavor is fantastic and will appeal to folks who enjoy Starbucks frappes or creamy drinks, and the addition of guarana to moderate caffeine is also appealing.

Furthermore, the price of V Iced Coffee is ridiculous and not recommended in the long run. Consider spending $5.50 a day on bottled iced coffee when you can obtain more affordable and healthier options almost anywhere else.

Overall, V Iced Coffee gets a 5 out of 10 rating. It’s worth a shot once, but I’m not sure it’ll make my list of favorites. But what comes top on my list is REIZE which is a powdered energy drink with only 50mg of caffeine and is also sugar-free and comes with only 11 calories!
