Exploring Caffeine & Ingredients in Red Line Energy Drink

As you may know, Redline Energy is one of the strongest energy drinks you can find on any convenience store or online platform. It’s made from Bang’s Redline brand produced by VPX Sports.

It’s pretty famous as it contains over 300mg of caffeine content. This 8 fl. oz. energy drink contains nutrients like L-Leucine, L-Valine, and L-Iscleuline for muscle building. Moreover, it doesn’t have any sugar or calories.

Despite its ability to provide a boost, some articles claim Redline Energy is a harmful energy drink for your health. That’s why you’ll learn how Redline Energy can be harmful to you in this article.

Redline Energy Nutrition Facts

By the way, the original Redline Energy is not available at the moment. That’s why, Redline Xtreme energy, its sibling, took its place on the market.

While the name has been upgraded, its contents are just the same. Let’s first take a look at it on this table below:

Nutritional Value of Redline Xtreme.

First of all, it’s rich in electrolytes such as sodium, magnesium, and potassium. These electrolytes would keep your body fluids in balance.

It helps more if you take any product with these nutrients every time you have an intense workout.

Like, I’ve said, this energy drink doesn’t have any calories. While calories mainly contribute to the energy a product could give you, it’s beneficial if a beverage doesn’t have it. Besides, you’re already taking enough calories from the food you consume.

According to this article, it is necessary to have 2,000 calories a day for women and 2,500 for men. You have to make sure you burn in all for the same day to avoid weight gain.

Don’t forget that Redline Xtreme is sugar-free as well. Perfect for people with diabetes!

How Much Caffeine is in Redline Energy Drink?

Redline Xtreme has 316mg of caffeine, to be exact. As this is a very high amount, you can divide Redline Xtreme into three servings. After all, every 100ml contains roughly 100ml of caffeine.

Is that a lot for you to take? A cup of your usual coffee has 80-100mg of caffeine. Therefore, taking 100ml of Redline Xtreme could give the same amount of nutrients as a bonus.

For me, I highly suggest you follow this suggestion. Otherwise, 316mg of caffeine can be way too strong for you and give you a massive headache.

Is Redline Xtreme Dangerous?

It has over 300mg of caffeine so it can be dangerous if you’re not healthy or have a medical condition. I guess you already found out from some studies that Redline Xtreme can cause chest pains and vomiting.

Besides some caffeine crashes, you might experience these symptoms as well:

  • Headaches
  • Excessive tiredness
  • Inability to concentrate
  • Irritability

This is why you’re only allowed to take caffeine on a certain level. According to FDA, you should only consume up to 400mg of caffeine per day. As you can see, Redline Xtreme’s caffeine content is on a dangerous level already.

If you consume caffeine with this amount every day, it could lead to long-term effects. Common effects include chronic insomnia, constant anxiety, depression, and hypertension.

Just to be clear, caffeine isn’t that bad for your body. In fact, it’s even used as medicine for drowsiness and tiredness. Moreover, it is a good stimulant that can keep you going for a day.

But overconsuming it can lead to detrimental effects. Watch this video to know more about caffeine’s harmful effects on your body.

Take it from Science Insider.

What Happens If You Drink a Whole Bottle of Redline?

According to a drink lawsuit, consuming the whole bottle led to chills, excessive sweating, vomiting, convulsions, chest pains, and rapid heartbeat. They say that it’s all because of yohimbine, vinpocetine, and 5-Hydroxytryptophan in Redline Xtreme.

They claim that these ingredients can cause rapid heart rate, high blood pressure, headaches, dizziness if taken at high doses. The problem is that Redline Xtreme didn’t put how much they used these ingredients in a single bottle.

Just in the case of, 5-HTP is often taken as an herbal supplement and an antidepressant that you’re even allowed to take 100mg of it three times a day. Moreover, Yohimbe is used to support athletic performance and vinpocetine for calming your nerves.

I guess with all these ingredients. They can help you with your daily workout. It’s just the side effects that you won’t be sure of.

The fact that a lawsuit has been filed means that it’s a serious matter and not just some gossip. While the effects might vary depending on a person’s health, I see this as a big no for you to consume the whole bottle in a single sitting.

Try to control your intake first.

Is Redline Energy Drink Safe?

Generally, energy drinks aren’t proven safe by the FDA. On the other hand, they must follow the ingredients guidelines laid out by the agency.

With the case of Redline, I think it has way too much caffeine. That’s why many individuals experience severe side effects from it compared to other energy drink brands.

I advise starting out with half a bottle first and then seeing how the drink is affecting you before continuing.

Alternative Energy Drinks to Redline

I have here some energy drinks suggestions with high-low caffeine content. But if you’re looking for just the most potent energy drinks, you can check this list here

C4 Energy

Just like Redline, C4 Energy is also a famous pre-workout energy drink. This drink is available in many flavors and variants.

Each variant has a different caffeine amount—ranging from 120mg to 300mg. Meanwhile, the original version has 300mg of caffeine.

The good thing about C4 Energy is that it hasn’t been in any lawsuits or damaging articles. Even though it doesn’t contain electrolytes, its B vitamins and amino acids made it an energy drink with many fans worldwide.

But, I still won’t suggest you take more than one serving of C4 Energy. If you want to consume over one serving, you should choose the variant with lower caffeine content. Also, make sure not to take more than two servings.

GG Gamer Supps

This energy drink is not that strong, but it’s ideal for gamers and jogging-lovers alike. It’s rich in nootropics such as CoQ10 and lutein that could also enhance your cognition and improve your sight.

Aside from that, it has other vitamins and minerals that can help your physical performance too. Its caffeine content is only 100mg. This makes GG Gamer a better option for people with a low tolerance for caffeine.

I usually prefer energy drinks with only 50-100mg of caffeine. I’m glad I’m able to add GG Gamer to my list.

REIZE (Highly-Recommended)

I like this more because it’s the perfect blend of ginseng, taurine, and B vitamins. These nutrients will give you an extra surge of power that could help you last for hours when combined.

Even though REIZE only has 50mg of caffeine, the jolt of power is unbelievably vital. The best part is I won’t have to worry about caffeine crashes!

Final Thoughts

Generally, I think the ingredients and caffeine in Redline Xtreme are powerful for anyone who’s not used to caffeine. I wouldn’t really recommend this one as there are better options out there.

Many people experienced harmful effects with this beverage, I guess it happened because of its caffeine amount. While the energy drink is still popular, I suggest you should be wary if you want to try out this one.

If you have a high caffeine tolerance, then you can try to consume it in sips throughout the day. However, you should never consume any other caffeinated products on those days.

On the other hand, if you’re not used to energy drinks with this amount of caffeine, you should stay away from this beverage. In this case, you can try out this list instead.
