Electrolytes in Raze Energy Drink

Just like other energy drinks, Raze energy drinks contain essential electrolytes. You know that electrolytes are needed by our bodies to keep our body fluids balanced. Examples of electrolytes are potassium, calcium, phosphate, and magnesium.

The electrolytes you can find in a can of Raze are sodium and potassium.

Consuming drinks with electrolytes helps your body stay hydrated. If you are working out and you lack these compounds, you may suffer from dehydration.

A study concluded that carbohydrate-electrolyte replacement while exercising positively affects the body. This is because engaging in sports and activities depletes the body’s carbohydrate stores.

Thus, consuming a product with electrolytes keeps a low heart rate and maintains a low blood lactate level during exercise.

AlphaGPC in Raze Energy Drink

Raze also has Alpha-GPC supplementation. This is best for athletes and active individuals as it increases endurance performance and growth hormone secretion.

It is also proven to enhance memory and thinking skills. That’s why it’s used to cure Alzheimer’s disease, stroke, and dementia.

However, you should never consume an energy drink to treat these health conditions. You should ask for a doctor’s advice if you face any of these problems.

Also, a particular study found that Alpha-GPC can result in mild side effects such as constipation and nervousness. Some also lead to heartburn, headache, insomnia, dizziness, skin rash, and confusion.

Does Raze have creatine in it?

Raze does not contain creatine.

However, it is loaded with Alpha GPC and choline bitartrate. These components give drinkers a more focused feeling that can lift their mood.

Additionally, some claim that it provides them with long-lasting smooth energy.

How Much Caffeine is in Raze Energy Drinks?

Raze Energy contains 300mg of caffeine for every 16 fl. oz can. This is quite close to the 400mg daily limit by the FDA.

We all have different reactions to caffeine. Some suddenly experience palpitations, headaches, and insomnia. While others don’t feel any abnormalities in their bodies.

Some can be more sensitive than others. Just for your safety, it’s best to keep your energy drink consumption at a minimum.

Benefits of Caffeine

There’s a reason why Raze has caffeine, one of which is this element was proven to improve your alertness, thinking process, and short-term memory. Aside from this, it also plays a part in slowing down your mental decline.

Caffeine is also quite popular among students who want to stay up all night to study since it positively affects their concentration.

If you are into sports and an active lifestyle, caffeine may be an excellent companion to level up your performance. Energy drinks can supply strength to your body and improve your physical endurance.

What can you get from Raze?

Risks of Caffeine

If you limit yourself to one can of Raze, it is considered safe. However, if you consume more than one can, you may experience a problem in breathing. Caffeine overdose can result in:

  • abnormal heart beating
  • hypertension
  • vomiting
  • abdominal pain
  • fever

In the worst-case scenario, even cardiac arrest is possible.

If you don’t watch your caffeine intake, you can suffer from caffeine addiction as well. This can have adverse effects on your health, including disturbance in sleep, lack of energy, and sometimes even depression.

Aside from the mentioned side effects, other mild issues regarding caffeine include:

  • Anxiety
  • Insomnia
  • Nervousness
  • Digestive Problems
  • Muscle Breakdown
  • High blood pressure
  • Fatigue
  • Heart palpitations
  • Dehydration
  • Restlessness

To avoid these side effects, you should consume caffeinated products responsibly.

What Sweetener is in Raze Energy?

Raze Energy is sugar-free, but it does contain artificial sweeteners.

Sucralose is a calorie-free sweetener that replaces sugar in Raze Energy. This artificial sweetener is a lot sweeter than natural sugar. A small amount of sucralose can make your beverage or food around 600 times sweeter than sugar.

Benefits of Artificial Sweeteners

One of the benefits of using artificial sweeteners is they can help you lose weight because it is calorie-free.

For this reason, it is an attractive option if you want to lose some weight. However, its long-term effectiveness has not been proven yet.

A study was conducted with average-weighted individuals who regularly consume sucralose. They found little to no effects on their blood sugar levels.

To find out more about artificial sweeteners, you may want to take a look at this video.

Risks of Artificial Sweeteners

Just like caffeine, excessive intake of artificial sweeteners can also lead to certain health risks.

There is a study on people with severe obesity who aren’t regularly consuming sweeteners. Here, they found that sucralose elevated blood sugar levels and insulin levels.

These imply that sucralose may increase blood sugar levels in new users but have little effect on regular consumers. Therefore, if you have diabetes, you may have to cut your sucralose intake.

Here are other beverages that can be used as pre-workout drinks.

Conclusion

In my opinion, you can count on Raze Energy to provide a good energy boost. It’s a great option for those on a diet, considering it has no sugar or carbohydrates.

However, it does lack B vitamins in its ingredient list, which I think is a missed opportunity. Its caffeine content is also worth taking note of, since it’s high enough to cause side effects, especially for those who are caffeine-sensitive.

So don’t forget to drink responsibly!
