MIXT vs. G Fuel: A Comprehensive Comparison

MIXT vs. G Fuel: A Comprehensive Comparison

MIXT and G Fuel are two famous brands for gamers.

MIXT Energy contains 166mg of caffeine while G Fuel has 150mg of caffeine. Both are entirely sugar-free and contain similar beneficial ingredients like Vitamin B, Taurine, and L Tyrosine. However, G Fuel contains more micronutrients compared to MIXT. MIXT is also calorie-free while G Fuel has 25 calories.

But how do they differ from one another? Do they have a wide range of similarities? They are both popular in the gaming community, but which one is a much better choice than the other?

Well, unlike their caffeine content, these energy drinks have different amounts of calories and vitamins. While some of their ingredients are the same, G Fuel does have some extra ingredients that MIXT doesn’t have.

Read further to this article as I go into detail about their differences and their similarities. Let’s get going.

How Much Caffeine is in One Scoop of G Fuel and MIXT?

As shown in the table above, one scoop of MIXT could already give you 166mg of caffeine. On the other hand, G Fuel can give you 150mg.

Notice that their amount is not that far from each other. This can also be the reason why they are compared often.

Caffeine is a type of stimulant that could make you feel refreshed and focused. It’s a good element for your cognition which is why most people use coffee for late-night studying.

But then, if there’s one thing a student and a gamer has in common, it’s that they all transform into night owl at times. Energy drinks like MIXT and G Fuel can help you through the night. And aside from them, you can also use these other incredible energy drinks.

How Much Sugar is in One Scoop of G Fuel and MIXT?

You won’t get any sugar in MIXT and G Fuel, no matter how many scoops you add.

For your information, the AHA‘s recommended daily sugar limit is 25g for women and 36g for men. This means you have to take less of this amount for a day to avoid sugar-related side effects.

But, why do MIXT and G Fuel taste sweet?

The reason behind MIXT and G Fuel’s sweet taste is because of sucralose and acesulfame potassium. These two are artificial sweeteners, and they can make any beverage or food tasty. The good thing about it is that they don’t have any additional calories, which means it won’t make you gain any weight.

In fact, this study shows that artificial sweeteners can even help you decrease your body weight. Isn’t that nice? Although they are both chemicals, using them is permitted by the FDA, so you don’t have to worry much.

However, this doesn’t mean there aren’t any side effects when you consume too much. You might experience the following:

  • Headaches
  • Nausea
  • Mental Confusion
  • Visual Disturbance
  • Liver Disease

Nutrients in MIXT and G FUEL

Aside from the caffeine, both MIXT and G Fuel contains L-Taurine or Taurine. This element has a positive impact on your cardiovascular system. In fact, this study claims that it can even prevent you from having cardiovascular diseases.

That means Taurine is an essential element for your cardio. Considering this factor, I would say that you should go with MIXT because it has 830mg of Taurine, which is way more than what G Fuel has.

Because Taurine is so healthy, you are allowed to take up to 3,000mg per day!

They also have L-Tyrosine that decreases your chances of getting anxiety and insomnia. It also improves your mood. They also have B vitamins that can keep your brain healthy while boosting your brain function.

These B vitamins are also known to improve your cognition because it calms your nerves. For more information about B Vitamins, you read more on my article about them.

However, you cannot find Adenosine-5 Triphosphate Disodium Salt (ATP) in MIXT. This element can help your cardio and muscular performance because it aids in the fast recovery of your weakened muscle. I suppose this is more helpful in physical exercise than mental activity.

Another one is L-Citrulline Malate which promotes healthy blood vessels and can lower your blood pressure. If you have a heart condition and suffering from hypertension, you would need this vitamin in your body.

Are Powdered Energy Drinks Healthy?

Well, you can get the same health benefits of energy drinks in both can and powdered form. The only difference is the manufacturers chosen vitamin to add. Nevertheless, in any form, energy drinks will do their job to give you energy one way or another.

I suppose there would be a significant difference depending on how much you’ll consume.

The good thing about powdered drinks is that you can adjust the taste by increasing or decreasing the amount of water. If you find an energy drink too concentrated, you might add a little more past the suggested serving.

However, if you think its taste is not enough, you can lower your water level to get the ingredients to taste a bit concentrated.

Both MIXT and G Fuel are energy drinks. They’re likely to give your body the same energy with a difference in intensity and some benefits.

How Much MIXT or G Fuel Can You Have Per Day?

Considering their caffeine content, I recommend you limit yourself to two packs per day. With the aim that you won’t experience caffeine overdose that could lead to headaches, anxiety, and nausea.

After all, the FDA only advises 400mg of caffeine daily for your safety. Aside from caffeine overdose, there’s also a chance you may become caffeine dependent.

Some symptoms may be similar to caffeine overdose if you’re caffeine-dependent. Some of which are headaches, insomnia, dizziness, and hypertension. The most distinct characteristic of being caffeine-dependent is feeling the urge to consume caffeine to avoid the symptoms.

You can lower your dependency on caffeine by taking more water and doing regular exercise

Are G Fuel cans the same as the powder?

The only distinctive difference is that G Fuel cans are more convenient to drink. You can skip the hassle of dissolving the powdered product.

Other than that, the taste and quality are still the same. You can rest assured that the G Fuel powder is the same formula as the G Fuel cans.

Final Say

MIXT and G Fuel can truly power you up on your game as they both have B vitamins, L-Taurine, L-Tyrosine, and other antioxidants. They only have a slight difference in their caffeine count.

However, G Fuel uses other ingredients that you can’t find in a MIXT energy drink. This gives G Fuel an edge over MIXT. Overall, I suggest you find what works best for you.

However, I highly prefer energy drinks with caffeine amounting to 50mg to 100mg only. I suggest you try REIZE, and you’ll see how it can also be an incredible energy drink for gaming.
