Lit Energy: A Review Worth Reading? Discover the Verdict

Lit Energy: A Review Worth Reading? Discover the Verdict

Lit Energy was made by GNC Holdings, Inc as a performance-enhancing beverage. This company is known worldwide for providing healthy and high-quality supplements.

If you look into its ingredients, it has caffeine, amino acids, and other components that’ll be helpful for you to get the energy that you need. However, I do think that its caffeine content is too high and its flavor range isn’t really outstanding.

This energy drink is also taken as a pre-workout beverage. It’s also low on calories and contains zero sugar, making it suitable for you if you’re on a diet.

If you want to know more about this energy drink, read on as I weigh in on its pros and cons!

Is Lit Energy Good For You?

If you’re talking about energy-related goodness, yes, it is. Although Lit Energy has low-calorie content, it has a lot of caffeine that will motivate you to work out to the fullest. Just imagine how much lift could you get from 250mg of caffeine.

On the other hand, even though caffeine can give you a boost of 2 hours maximum, it does disappear into your system pretty easily.

If you don’t know already, it takes around 12 hours for caffeine to completely leave your system. If you’re not comfortable with this idea, I suggest taking energy drinks with lesser caffeine content.

My verdict is, as long as you can tolerate the caffeine content and moderate your intake, Lit Energy can be good for you.

Does Lit Energy Make You Crash?

It’s possible. You’re more likely to experience caffeine crashes if you take more than a can or a serving of Lit Energy. The FDA suggests a maximum caffeine intake of 400mg per day.

Unless you have high caffeine tolerance, you might experience the following caffeine crashes symptoms if you happen to consume too many caffeinated products in a day.

  • Headaches
  • Excessive tiredness
  • Inability to concentrate
  • Irritability

If you’re worried about having sugar crashes, don’t worry. You won’t experience that with Lit Energy because it’s sugar-free.

According to this study, resorting to sugar-free products can lessen your chances of getting headaches. Aside from that, you’ll also experience fewer mood swings and weight loss. This makes Lit Energy perfect if you’re on a diet and don’t want your workout to get ruined by sudden headaches.

To replace sugar, Lit Energy has two artificial sweeteners. Sucralose and acesulfame potassium give Lit Energy a sweet taste without the need for sugar. They’re approved by the FDA for general use as well.

Is Lit or Lit AF Better?

As I’ve mentioned, Lit Energy can be used as a pre-workout beverage. On the other hand, its makers also designed a pre-workout supplement called Lit AF.

This new version contains many of the same ingredients as Lit Energy. Moreover, it has various other features to give you a more upgraded pre-workout experience.

Lit AF is a powdered pre-workout supplement that can give you 20 servings per tub. Its ingredients are formulated to provide you with a greater boost in performance. One scoop of Lit AF can provide you with 300mg of caffeine for a quick background.

Take it after your meals before working out.

While its caffeine is relatively high, it’s actually a standard for pre-workout drinks. Plus, they also use creatine, L-tyrosine, and L-citrulline for much better performance.

I suggest you don’t try energy drinks with lots of caffeine, as it can result in severe overdose unless you’re used to the supplement and have a very adventurous lifestyle. For your own safety, going with Lit Energy is a wiser choice.

How Long Does Lit AF Last?

In my experience, the alert lasted for three hours. Now, this is quite a long time for me. According to this article, energy drinks should only last for two hours.

However, the experience isn’t that bad. If you have something important to do in a day and you need alertness for a more extended period, Lit Energy will surely help you.

On the other hand, if you’re just out for a quick exercise, I don’t think it’s good to take Lit Energy. It would be best to go for energy drinks with lower caffeine content.

How does Lit Energy taste?

Lit Energy has six flavors. Each flavor tastes different from the other, which makes it better. Other energy drinks use different names and colors, but all taste quite the same. Lit Energy is different.

  • Blue Raspberry – If you haven’t tried blue raspberry yet, you might think this one should be how a blue raspberry should taste. A natural blue raspberry should taste sour and a little sweet. However, Lit Energy’s Blue Raspberry tastes sourer and has very little sweetness.
  • Fruit Punch – This one tastes like a sour apple. I can taste some fruits, but I’m having problems because the closest it reminds me of is a rotten apple.
  • Gummy Worm – This is my least favorite flavor of Lit Energy. Its name should sound enjoyable to taste, but it’s not when you get to taste it.
  • Icy Fireworks – This flavor is on fire. You can definitely taste a hint of coolness that’s similar to what you would taste in a soda.
  • Orange Mango – If you’re looking for a native orange and mango in one mix, this flavor is so rich that you’ll forget you’re drinking an energy drink.
  • Strawberry Lemonade: This tastes sweet and fancy. However, my only problem with this flavor is it feels so itchy and tingly.

Where to Buy Lit Energy?

You can purchase Lit Energy at any convenience store. It’s available in the canned version and a powdered tub that contains 30 servings. Just pick where you’re more comfortable; after all, it tastes the same.

You can also buy it on their website. On the other hand, on Amazon, one tub of any flavor is priced at around $40. This means that one serving costs around $1.35, which means it’s pretty affordable!

If you purchase the canned version, it costs around $30 for a 12-can pack. This means that you’ll get one for around $2.50.

However, my favorite energy drink is much cheaper and more effective. I’ll share more information about it later.

Alternative Energy Drinks

Meanwhile, take a look at other energy drinks you can try. Let’s start with the famous.

Red Bull

If you know Lit Energy, then there’s a greater chance you know more about Red Bull. After all, this energy drink is much popular worldwide, especially in racing.

This energy drink can give you 110 calories and 80mg of caffeine. This beverage is beneficial for an activity that needs more energy. However, what I don’t like about this energy drink is its 28g of sugar, which can give you sugar crashes.

Nevertheless, Red Bull has other healthy nutrients too. You can try Red Bull to see if it suits your needs.

Ghost Gamer

Ghost Gamer is a powdered caffeinated drink without gluten and sugar. It also contains just 150mg of caffeine for every two scoops. You can rely on this drink to expand your energy levels and assist you with concentrating better.

Like ZOA, it contains amino acids, a broad scope of nutrients, and a moderate degree of caffeine to help you get past your day at work, in the exercise center, or while playing computer games.

A serving is priced at $1, and it’s available for purchase in a tub that makes 40 servings.

REIZE (Highly Recommended)

REIZE is my favorite because it has the quality, taste, and the right price. Its also packed with nutrients like taurine and B Vitamins. Apart from that, it has the right amount of caffeine for me. For only 50mg, you can have many things get done without risking side effects.

Its 4g sachets can fit right into your pocket meaning you can mix it anywhere and anytime you want. Imagine whipping up a fresh and fizzy glass of REIZE whenever you want.

Conclusion

I’m giving Lit Energy drink 7 out of 10. It’s nice that you can use Lit Energy as a pre-workout energy drink. Ironically, while this is helpful, I find the 250mg too much unless you’re really up for a necessary busy workload.

It has a friendly price and a pleasant taste. Before I forget, it has electrolytes too, and you’ll feel its effect during your workouts. In three hours of exercise, I never felt dehydrated, thanks to a can of Lit Energy and some water!

However, if you’re worried about the high amount of caffeine, you should consult your doctor to know if Lit Energy is safe for you.
