Exposed: The Truth About Redline Xtreme Energy Drink

Exposed: The Truth About Redline Xtreme Energy Drink

Redline Xtreme is one of the strongest energy drinks available on the market. It’s from Bang’s Redline brand and is manufactured by VPX Sports.

It comes in a tiny 8 fl oz (240ml) bottle but lo and behold, it contains a whopping 316 mg of caffeine despite its size. It also uses no sugar, no calories, no fat, and no carb.

Right off the bat, that 316mg of caffeine is a red flag. That is astronomically high, considering that most energy drink brands only offer 50-200 mg of caffeine. It’s not recommended for caffeine-sensitive people or beginners drink Redline Xtreme since it can cause negative side effects like anxiety and insomnia.

There are published articles that claim Redline Xtreme to be dangerous. Join me as I delve into these claims and the contents of the drink!

Hopefully, you’ll have a better idea of whether Redline is the right fit for you.

Let’s get started!

Is Redline Xtreme Dangerous?

It depends. Some studies say Redline Xtreme can cause vomiting and chest pains. This isn’t shocking because these are supposed to be the symptoms of caffeine overdose.

Therefore, if you think your body is not up for that amount, don’t try Redline Xtreme. On the other hand, if you have high caffeine tolerance, just one serving won’t lead to the said side effects.

But, how would you know if you’re not that sensitive to caffeine? The most common reason would be if you regularly consume caffeinated products. And you realize that it doesn’t give you the alertness level you need except if you finish the amount you’re accustomed to.

That said, this doesn’t mean you should overpass your daily limit as you might get addicted to caffeine.

Caffeine’s long-term effects can cause chronic insomnia, constant anxiety, depression, and stomach problems. Aside from that, it can also cause hypertension.

How Strong is Redline Xtreme?

As I’ve mentioned, Redline Xtreme is one of the most potent drinks. It provides around 300mg of caffeine, making it best for use only for healthy individuals. If you’re actually sensitive to caffeine, you might suffer from side effects with this amount.

Even the FDA advises to take not more than 400mg of caffeine per day. If you happen to consume more than one serving of Redline Xtreme, you’ll surely suffer irritability if you’re unlucky, even nervousness, sleeplessness, and rapid heartbeat.

Watch your caffeine intake!

Don’t you know that half of the caffeine you consume is still in your system even after six hours? You need to wait for around 10 hours to ensure the whole caffeine is out of your system.

Is Redline A Good Energy Drink?

In my opinion, Redline Xtreme isn’t really a good energy drink, but it’s very strong. It’s pretty decent in energy and tasty even though it’s sugar-free.

Its makers use an artificial sweetener called sucralose to give it a sweet taste. It’s an FDA-approved sweet enhancer and can make any product 600 times sweeter compared to those that use natural sugar.

While Redline Xtreme frees you of sugar, you can still get weight disadvantages if you don’t discipline yourself. Artificial sweeteners can cause an increase in craving. It can also lead to hypertension and even diabetes.

Doing so can lead to cavities and changes in your gut microbiome. If your gut is unhealthy, you can suffer from stomach aches and unintentional weight changes. And all of these aren’t helpful for your workout goal.

How Many Redlines Xtremes Can You Drink A Day?

Only one. As it has a very high amount of caffeine, you should take only one serving per day. I’d even recommend drinking just half a bottle to be safe.

Otherwise, you may experience caffeine overdose, and encounter these symptoms:

  • Trouble breathing
  • Vomiting
  • Hallucinations
  • Confusion
  • Chest pain
  • Uncontrollable muscle movements
  • Convulsions

While this article advises you to take two servings of energy drinks per day, this may not be suitable with Redline Xtreme since it has very high caffeine content.

When drinking Redline, try going slow. Assess yourself after a few sips and if you’re still fine, then you can go on. However, at any sign of caffeine-induced symptoms, stop drinking immediately. You can also consult medical professionals regarding your caffeine consumption.

Where Can You Buy Redline Xtreme?

If you want to try Redline Xtreme, you can purchase them on eBay or Fed-Ex for around $17. You can buy four packs for that amount, including the shipping fee.

The Blue Razz is the most popular flavor of Redline Xtreme, but it also has these other flavors:

  • Cotton Candy
  • Sour Heads
  • Star Blast
  • Triple Berry
  • Lime
  • Watermelon

Is Redline A Pre-workout?

Redline Xtreme can be a pre-workout drink. Because it has high caffeine content, it’s only natural that some use it before working out.

Most pre-workout energy drinks have 150-300mg of caffeine. With Redline Xtreme, you caffeine a bit more caffeine.

There also are certain pre-workout ingredients that you can find in Redline Xtreme, like caffeine and beta-alanine. All of which can increase the blood flow that can support you with your exercise.

Final Thoughts

In conclusion, I’d only recommend Redline Xtreme for individuals who are used to taking high amounts of caffeine and are in peak health.

If you’re caffeine sensitive, a beginner to energy drinks, or have a medical condition, looking at energy drink brands with lower caffeine content like REIZE would be best.

But the drink does have good qualities. Redline Xtreme energy drink has a blend of caffeine anhydrous, Beta-alanine, BCAAs, and other ingredients. These ingredients can enable you to do your best both physically and mentally.

In my personal opinion though, drinks with just 50-100mg of caffeine are ideal for all kinds of lifestyles and have less risk of negative side effects.
