My personal opinion is that no energy drink is healthy since they primarily contain ingredients like caffeine or sugar that can have detrimental effects on your health.
However, I do think it’s possible to pick an energy drink that has the least health risks. These would be the brands that have minimal caffeine, sugar, and calories.
Celsius is marketed as a fitness drink with thermogenic properties. It contains 200 mg of caffeine, B and C vitamins, and no sugar and calories. Meanwhile, Monster Energy is a classic energy drink brand that comes with 160mg of caffeine, 190 calories, and 54g of sugars.
Just off these details alone, you can get the sense that Celsius may be better for your health. I agree with this but let’s look a little deeper, shall we?

Because water is the healthiest beverage of all that you can think of, I’m siding with consuming powdered energy drinks. Consuming powdered energy drinks can help you with your water intake and keep your body hydrated.
Is One Energy Drink a Day OK?
Experts say that if you would take energy drink every day, limit your consumption to only one can or serving. This is because if you take too much, the artificial contents inside it could build up and harm your body.
Other articles suggest that it’s still OK to take even two energy drinks per day. Anyway, I think you should only drink more than one serving if it contains a low amount of caffeine and sugar.
What Happens if you Drink 3 Cans of Monster in a Day?
In this case, you’re more vulnerable to caffeine and sugar crashes. It could lead to caffeine toxicity, resulting in tremors and chances of strokes.
You might consume them expecting a jolt of energy, but there’s a chance that it might backfire and cause complications. On the other hand, if you rely on the power they can provide you, you’ll be dependent on them.
One symptom that you’re energy drinks dependent on is that you consume too many of them on the same day. Another is when you suffer from headaches every time you skip your energy drinks session.
While you can’t remove this instantly, you can recover from it by cutting your energy intake little by little every day. One day you’ll wake up and won’t feel the need for it.
That’s why you should only consume energy drinks when it’s necessary.
Is Celsius the Healthiest Energy Drink?
I cannot really say that Celsius is the healthiest energy drink. Sure, it has vitamin C that’s good for your immune system and B Vitamins that can help you maintain good health. Plus, it’s vegan-friendly.
However, if I want to consume Celsius, I usually go with the powdered version. Its powdered version is called Celsius On-the-go.
It has the same content as the canned version and it’s more flexible since it allows you to control your dosage much more.

Red Bull
Red Bull has less caffeine and sugar than Monster or Celsius. It has 80mg of caffeine and 27g, that’s actually near the limit. It’s a good thing it’s not that much than what Monster has.
This energy drink is popular in any sports event worldwide. Therefore, I think even if it has a low amount of caffeine, it would still work fine in enhancing your performance. Before I forget, Red Bull has a sugar-free version as well.
So, if you’re not comfortable with its sugar content, you can still have the same beverage, just minus the sugar.
REIZE (Top Pick)
