Reign Energy Exposed: The Real Deal on Daily Consumption

Reign Energy Exposed: The Real Deal on Daily Consumption

Reign Energy Drinks are a pretty good option if you ever need to add a little kick to your workout routine or for staying up late into the night.

With a massive 300mg of caffeine, Reign is definitely one of the strongest energy drinks. It’s not recommended to take it every day since it can affect your caffeine tolerance and lead to caffeine addiction.

For a more detailed analysis, stick around to find out everything you need to know about Reign Energy, from its caffeine content and ingredients, and whether you should actually have one every day.

Let’s get started…

Reign Energy Drink Calories

Each 16 fl. oz can of Reign contains 0 to 10 calories, depending on the flavor.

If you’re looking for a low-calorie energy drink, Reign has you covered, with a lot fewer calories than a regular can of Red Bull (110 calories per 8.4 fl. oz) or Monster (210 calories per 16 fl. oz).

This means you don’t have to plan your diet around Reign, which makes it a great pick-me-up when you need a quick burst of energy without the calories that often come with sugary energy drinks.

That being said, you’re also not getting any substantial amount of ‘energy’ from Reign, with most of the boost coming from the caffeine and various other ingredients.

For guidance, the daily recommended caloric intake for healthy adults is between 2000 to 2400 calories for women and 2400 to 3000 calories for men.

Don’t get it confused though, energy drinks aren’t a replacement for an actual meal, so if you want to maximize your exercise potential, be sure to have a proper nutritious meal alongside Reign.

How Much Caffeine Is in Reign Energy Drink?

A standard 16 fl. oz can of Reign contains 300mg of caffeine, all naturally sourced from green coffee beans and tea leaves.

With 300mg of caffeine, Reign is one of the strongest energy drinks available, right alongside its close competitor Bang, as well as canned G Fuel.

As a workout drink, the extra caffeine in Reign may prove to be pretty beneficial since caffeine has been noted to increase exercise performance in many studies, along with the obvious benefit of keeping you awake.

Naturally, the problem here is thinking that more caffeine equals getting more out of your workout. Since everyone’s caffeine metabolism is different, not everyone is actually going to get the same effects from Reign.

Even so, while you might get a big boost from all that caffeine, 300mg is a lot of caffeine, so I would advise against downing a full can of Reign in one sitting, especially if you happen to be more caffeine-sensitive.

For reference, the FDA recommends you limit your daily caffeine intake to a maximum of 400mg. Any more than that and you might start to experience some notable side effects, namely:

  • Insomnia
  • Anxiousness
  • Increased Heart Rate
  • Digestive Issues
  • Nausea
  • Headaches

Therefore, be sure to keep your caffeine intake to a tolerable limit and not double down on other caffeinated beverages such as coffee or tea if you’re planning on having a can of Reign.

Is Reign Sugar-Free?

According to its nutritional label, Reign is entirely sugar-free, which makes it quite a bit healthier than many other sugar-filled energy drinks.

Being sugar-free, Reign won’t throw in any additional sugar or added calories to your diet, so you can feel free to have that bar of chocolate without worrying about having too much sugar in your diet.

As a guide, the AHA recommends a daily sugar limit of no more than 25g for women and 36g for men, which you’re going to hit more often than not with a sugary energy drink.

With Reign, you have the luxury of having a bit more leeway with your sugar content, but you should still keep in mind your overall sugar intake and keep it to a minimum because it’s easier than you might think to exceed the AHA’s guidelines on a daily basis from the food we eat.

Does Reign Energy Drink Have Artificial Sweeteners?

While Reign doesn’t contain regular sugar, it does have artificial sweeteners, namely sucralose and acesulfame potassium.

Both sucralose and acesulfame potassium are zero-calorie sweeteners, so they won’t have an impact on your diet if that’s something you’re concerned about.

While artificial sweeteners won’t have you experiencing the dreaded sugar crash even after Reign’s effects wear off, there are still some concerns regarding the safety of artificial sweeteners, especially in the long run.

But in any case, artificial sweeteners have been approved for use by the FDA. So as long as you only have Reign when you need it, you shouldn’t need to be too worried about this particular ingredient.

Does Reign Energy Drink Work?

Does Reign work as an energy drink?

With 300mg of caffeine, Reign Energy Drinks are sure to give you a boost when you have them, and they’re pretty effective for both working out or trying to push through those long hours to get some work done.

Of course, your experience might differ, considering that everyone has a different caffeine tolerance; what could be just enough caffeine for one person may be far too much for another.

As long as you know your own tolerances and don’t consume an entire can in one go, Reign should work perfectly fine, though I would definitely advise you to stay away from Reign if you happen to be more sensitive to caffeine.

I personally recommend that you have no more than one can of Reign Energy Drink per day, owing to the high caffeine content.

While you don’t have to worry about sugar or calories with Reign, the high caffeine content means that having more than one can in a day is a pretty bad idea.

With 300mg of caffeine, Reign is just barely below the FDA’s recommended limit of 400mg per day.

Having more than one Reign a day will definitely put you at risk of caffeine overdose, no matter your tolerance level, but even more so if you happen to be sensitive to caffeine.

As with all caffeinated beverages, it’s always best to have Reign Energy in moderation, mostly to avoid that energy burst from turning into a massive headache or you becoming more jittery than usual from having too much caffeine.

So stick with a maximum of one can of Reign Energy Drink per day, even if you think you need the extra caffeine boost.

Is It Okay To Drink Reign Energy Drink Every Day?

As long as you’re relatively healthy and don’t have any pre-existing medical conditions having a can of Reign Energy Drink per day is perfectly fine.

The disclaimer here is that you need to be able to handle 300mg of caffeine in one go if you want to make Reign a daily habit. Personally, I think it’s too much caffeine and I prefer energy drinks that are a little more reasonable.

While the caffeine content may be high, having a can of Reign a day is actually fine. Caffeine has a half-life of around 5-6 hours, so it will usually be out of your system in about 12 hours.

Compared with sugary energy drinks, where the long-term health ramifications of sugar are pretty bad, having a can of Reign a day doesn’t seem so bad.

However, if you really want to stay on the healthier side of things, stick with only having a can of Reign Energy when you really need it.

Not only will having a can of Reign a day quickly build up your caffeine tolerance, you probably shouldn’t be having too many carbonated beverages anyway.

So while you can get away with having a can of Reign a day, it’s best to moderate your intake for the sake of your health. Check with your doctor if you intend to add Reign to your daily diet.

What happens if you have an energy drink every day?

Assuming that a person is having a balanced diet and is living a healthy lifestyle, drinking energy drinks every day will not do anything to that person aside from giving them a boost in energy. If not then consuming daily might pose some serious health risk

The main contents of energy drinks are caffeine, sugar, and calories. Assuming that a person only drinks one can a day then their chances of harm are relatively low, however daily consistent consumption will soon pile on each other.

People for example who are not used to caffeine might experience anxiety, increased heart rate, and even insomnia. On top of this, the added sugar in your diet from energy drinks will accumulate leading to weight gain.

In the end, energy drinks should only be consumed in moderation. It is also important to ensure that we do not go above the maximum recommended dosage for our health.
