Can You Drink Raze Energy Drink Every Day? (Legit)

Can You Drink Raze Energy Drink Every Day? (Legit)

You might be a long-time drinker or of Raze Energy Drink, or perhaps you’ve just discovered the brand.

Sure, it tastes good and gives you a nice boost, but you’ve probably got a few questions about that long list of ingredients printed on the back of the can.

Specifically, can you drink Raze Energy every day?

You’re in the right place, in this article I’ll cover that and other questions about Raze so that you’ll know not only if Raze is safe to drink on a daily basis, but also what health risks you may need to consider too.

To give it straight to you, it’s alright to drink Raze on a daily basis, but only if you drink no more than one can per day and don’t have any pre-existing health conditions.

However, there’s more to Raze than first meets the eye. So, let’s get down to business…

What Is Raze?

Raze is a made by the Repp Sports company. The company makes a wide range of pre-workouts, protein popcorn, and Raze.

Raze is marketed as an everyday workout supplement that has zero-sugar, zero-carbs, and zero-artificial dyes. The drink is calorie-free as well – a plus for fitness buffs.

Each 16 fl.oz can of Raze comes with a whopping 300g of caffeine. That’s a lot and certainly earns Raze a spot among the strongest energy drinks in the world.

With so much caffeine and because of the way it’s marketed, Raze straddles the fine line between being a strong energy drink and being a pre-workout product. Indeed, sometimes there’s not much difference between the two.

Raze comes in 10 different flavors, so there’s a good chance that you’ll find at least one that you like.

Raze Energy Drink Ingredients

It’s always a smart move to look at the good or bad ingredients in an energy drink before chugging a can.

To save you the time, here’s what’s in a 16 fl.oz can of Raze Energy:

  • 0 calories
  • 0g protein
  • 0g total fat
  • 0g saturated fatty acids
  • 0g total carbohydrate
  • 0g total sugar
  • 0g protein
  • 0mg cholestrol
  • 15mg sodium
  • 55mg potassium

Raze includes the patented “reFRESH Performance Complex” that has:

  • Betaine anhydrous
  • 300mg caffeine anhydrous
  • Taurine
  • Potassium citrate
  • L-tyrosine
  • Choline bitartrate
  • BCAA Aminos (L-Leucine, L-Isoleucine, L-Valine)
  • Carnitine L-Tartrate
  • Alpha GPC
  • Caffeine Citrate

There are trace amounts of other ingredients in Raze such as:

  • Carbonated water
  • Citric acid
  • Natural flavours
  • Artificial flavours
  • Sucralose
  • Malic acid
  • Potassium sorbate (preserves freshness)
  • Sodium benzoate (preserves freshness)
  • Acesulfame K (sweetener)

I always look at patented ingredients, like this “reFRESH” from Raze with skepticism. Far too often when I dig deeper I discover these patented blends of ingredients fall somewhere on the spectrum of marketing fluff at one end to completely misleading at the other.

You should probably also look at these “special” blends with a healthy dose of skepticism until the brand provides more transparency on the total amount of each of the ingredients.

Raze Energy Flavors

Raze comes in the following flavors:

  • Baja Lime
  • Voodoo
  • Apollo
  • Galaxy Burst
  • Guava Mango
  • Strawberry Colada
  • Sour Gummy Worms
  • Watermelon Frost
  • Grape Bubblegum
  • Phantom Freeze

With so many flavors to choose from, there’s bound to be something that you’ll like.

How Much Caffeine Is In Raze Energy?

A regular 16 fl.oz can of Raze contains 300mg of caffeine.

The back of the can shows that Raze contains 300mg of caffeine per can
The caffeine warning and quantity printed on a can of Raze Energy.

That’s equivalent to more than two cups of coffee, as the label on the can suggests.

On average, a healthy adult is safe to consume no more than 400mg of caffeine per day, according to the FDA.

In case you exceed the daily safe dosage, you might experience unwanted side effects that you should try to steer clear of.

As the label on a can of Raze suggests:

“Too much caffeine may cause nervousness, irritability, sleeplessness, and occasionally, rapid heartbeat.”

In more serious cases, there is a chance to fatally overdose on caffeine, but that’s exceptionally rare and unlikely.

The label on the can comes with another warning:

“Do not exceed two servings within any 24 hour period.”

Personally, I recommend that you never have more than a single can in any 24 hour period to make sure you stay under the FDA recommended maximum caffeine limit. Two cans will put you way over that limit.

Is One Raze Energy Drink A Day Bad?

It’s not bad to drink one can of Raze Energy Drink a day, but two cans of Raze in a day will put you over the maximum recommended caffeine dose for an entire day.

The FDA recommends no more than 400mg of caffeine in any single day. That’s caffeine from all sources, including tea, coffee, soda, chocolate, and other energy drinks.

A single can of Raze has 300mg of caffeine. Two cans contain 600mg of caffeine, which is far too much to have in a day.

I find it a bit surprising to see this guidance printed on the back of a can of Raze:

“Do not exceed two servings within any 24 hour period.”

In my opinion, two cans of Raze is too much and already potentially unsafe. Perhaps you see things differently, but I would encourage you to consult your doctor before stepping up to two can of Raze per day to check if that much caffeine is safe for you or not.

Raze might be sugar-free, contain zero-calories, and zero-artificial dyes, but it does contain a huge amount of caffeine.

Stick to a single can of Raze Energy per day and you’ll be just fine.

Can You Drink Raze Energy Drink Everyday?

It’s perfectly fine to drink Raze Energy every day if you stick to a maximum of one can, don’t have any pre-existing medical conditions and the rest of your diet is balanced and healthy.

As is stated on the can, the product is only intended to be consumed by healthy adults, 18 years of age or older.

Also, here’s another warning that calls for your attention:

“Do not use this product if you are pregnant or nursing, and before consulting a licensed, qualified health care professional, especially if you are under medication or diagnosed with a medical condition.”

I should point out that these warnings are all due to the high caffeine content. Besides having what I consider to be too much caffeine, I don’t really have an issue with anything else in Raze.

Personally, I prefer to have something more moderate instead of having my head blown off. I find between 50mg and 100mg of caffeine per serve to be perfect – giving me a nice boost, but not so much that I can see sounds.

Despite all of the warnings, I actually think Raze is a pretty darn good energy drink. Check out my Raze Energy Review article where I go into things in a lot more detail.
