Rip It Energy drink is owned by the National Beverage Corporation of America. It’s a carbonated beverage in a 16-ounce bottle.
With a moderate amount of caffeine and calories, it’s pretty decent. However, its high sugar content piqued my interest.
Rip-It is a carbonated energy drink sold in 16 oz. Cans in the United States. The energy drink comes in a variety of flavors, and the taste is intriguing.
But the question is, does Rip It energy drink actually work?
In my opinion, it does work quite well. Each 16 fl. oz. bottle gives you a wonderful energy boost with 160mg of caffeine and 100 calories.
Let’s get this party started.

Calories in Rip It Energy
A sixteen-ounce can of Rip It has 100 calories.
The shot variants of the drink, on the other hand, claim to contain no calories. But, once again, with two fl. oz. of drink, we’re not searching for a flavor, just something to enhance our energy and keep us awake.
Nonetheless, the 100 calories in a standard can of Rip It, even if you’re on a calorie-restricted diet, shouldn’t be a major concern. Given that the recommended daily calorie information for healthy males and females is 2,500-2,000 calories.
Keep in mind that the calorie amount varies from person to person due to metabolism, age, physical activity, and gender.
Sugar in Rip It Energy
Each sixteen-ounce can of Rip It contains 26g of sugar.
Although it may not appear to be much, 26g of added sugar is a lot, and may I remind the recommended sugar intake set by this research?
The American Heart Association (AHA) advises a maximum sugar intake of 36g for males and 24g for women. That’s 9 and 6 teaspoons of additional sugar, respectively.
Added sugar is sugar that is added to foodstuff that already has sugar or is sweetened– energy drinks, soft drinks, sweets, and so on.
However, much-added sugar is harmful to our health.
Sugar’s disproportionate consumption may result in:
- Hypoglycemia
- Headaches
- Upset Stomach
- Uneasiness
- Diabetes
- Weight Gain
Rip It has sugar-free tastes for individuals who don’t like sugar in their energy drinks or are trying to reduce their sugar intake in general.

In comparison to the shot bottle, an ordinary can of Rip contains 160mg of caffeine, which is not excessive. It’s quite up to you which option you choose.

How does Rip It Energy taste?
I tried to Rip It’s “Active Mandarin” and “Live Wild Lime” flavors.
As soon as I opened the can, I was met by a greenish carbonated haze.
The aroma was comparable to that of a Mountain Dew beverage. The color of the drink was light green and yellow, similar to Mountain Dew but not as eye-catching.
I had to drink the energy drink slowly and completely since it tasted like a richer, more robust version of Mountain Dew. I didn’t want to guzzle it.
The flavor was delicious, but it was a little too sweet for me. As a result, I found it difficult to finish the drink because I could immediately taste the bitter aftertaste.
I’ve added a YouTube video showing honest reviews on Rip It Energy.
