Does Red Bull Break Glass? (Maybe Or Maybe Not)

Does Red Bull Break Glass? (Maybe Or Maybe Not)

Who hasn’t heard of Red Bull Energy Drink? From the United States to Asia, this energy drink has become indelible.

Red Bull is one of the best energy beverages on the market in my opinion. It works extremely well by offering an instant energy boost that lasts for a good few hours.

It is the world’s most well-known classic energy drink, with the biggest market share. While the ingredients aren’t fancy, their ideal combination will provide you with the energy you need to go through the day.

But does Red Bull break glass?

I have run a wide range of research and found the answer is negative. Red Bull does not have any type of component that can temper glass and break it, be it cold or hot.

Curious yet? Keep reading to know more.

Some Information about Glass?

Glass, believe it or not, is formed from liquid sand. Glass can be manufactured by heating regular sand (which is mainly silicon dioxide) until it melts and becomes a liquid. That won’t happen on your local beach: sand melts at a very high temperature of 1700°C (3090°F).

When molten sand cools, it does not return to the gritty yellow substance it once was: it undergoes a full transition and acquires a totally new inner structure. But no matter how much you cool the sand, it never completely solidifies. Instead, it condenses into a frozen liquid, or what materials scientists call an amorphous solid.

Now you can’t just go around and break glass just like that. It requires quite a force that Red Bulll has no way around breaking a glass.

Now let’s see what a serving of Red Bull includes in it.

I have added a youtube video showing that Red Bull does not really break the glass.

You can see Red Bull cannot break the glass.

How much caffeine is in a single serving of Red Bull?

Red Bull contains 80 mg of caffeine every 8.4 fl. oz. can, which is about average when compared to other energy beverages on the market.

Caffeine is a stimulant to our brain activity, making us feel more alert and focused.

Aside from keeping you alert and energized, it also aids in:

  1. Weight loss
  2. Lowers the risk of stroke
  3. Performance
  4. Improving brain function
  5. Reduce the risk of developing Alzheimer’s disease
  6. Memory and reaction times
  7. Endurance

According to research, energy beverages like Red Bull can increase cognitive processes, allowing you to get more done in less time. These, however, are only valid if you consume caffeine below the daily suggested limit of 400 mg per day.

Although there is a daily limit, safe caffeine levels vary depending on the individual’s health and caffeine tolerance level.

Caffeine affects everyone differently; If you have a poor caffeine tolerance you’ll be jittery after just one cup of espresso. While your friends could be chugging 3 cans of Red bull and not even be phased.

Again, if you are used to consuming three cups of home-brewed coffee every day, the caffeine in Red Bull may not feel excessive.

Overall, remember to limit your daily caffeine intake with any caffeinated beverage.

Sugar in Red Bull Energy Drink

When compared to other energy drinks on the market, an 8.4 fl. oz. can of Red Bull includes 27 g of sugar, which is relatively high, when compared to zero-sugar drinks.

Red Bull has somewhat more sugar than this study advises for women (25 g). However, It does not exceed the acceptable limit for guys (37.5 g).

However, because it is not the only sugary thing you will have in a day, the amount is not fully healthy for daily consumption. So keep track of your total sugar intake for the day.

While high sugar consumption might cause a surge in your blood sugar followed by a drop, long-term sugar consumption may pose higher concerns, such as:

  1. Higher chance of depression
  2. Kidney Failure
  3. Joint pain
  4. Aging skin
  5. Diabetes
  6. Heart diseases

All of this can be avoided if you take Red Bull in moderation. The drink will undoubtedly provide you with the energy you require to keep going for a few more hours.

Taurine in Red Bull Energy Drink

Each 8.4 oz can of Red Bull contains 1000 milligrams of taurine, which is wholly synthetically generated.

Taurine is a significant component found in energy beverages such as Red Bull.

It has numerous advantages, including aiding performance, muscle contraction, reducing anxiety, promoting nerve growth, and lowering blood pressure.

During any physical or mental exertion, the body loses a significant amount of taurine, leaving you fatigued.

In this situation, what could be better than a can of Red Bull energy drink? It can supply the body with the necessary amount of taurine anytime it is required.

Caffeine mixed with taurine can help subdue the adverse effects of caffeine.

Which one is better: coffee or Red Bull?

Coffee is a healthier option because it includes less sugar and calories. If you need a stronger caffeine boost now and then, Red Bull is an alternative.

Red Bull is an energy drink packed with energy-boosting ingredients that should only be used on occasion.

Coffee, on the other hand, is a natural chemical with few to no additions or preservatives, making it more suitable for daily usage.

I believe the answer to this question is dependent on the type of activity you intend to engage in during the day. Red Bull, for example, performs effectively as an energy enhancer.

To avoid caffeine adverse effects, avoid ingesting an inappropriate amount of either of these drinks. Here are a few side effects of consuming an excessive amount of caffeine:

  1. Restlessness
  2. Insomnia
  3. Headaches
  4. Dizziness
  5. Increased heart rhythm
  6. Anxiety
  7. Dependency

Personally, I prefer to limit my daily caffeine consumption to less than 100 mg per serving and no more than 200 mg per day (with adequate intervals). It’s just enough for me to be active without feeling overburdened.

So, my advice to you is to drink anything you like as long as you keep your daily intake within the suggested range.

That being said, avoid drinking too many cans of Red Bull or too many cups of coffee at once.

Bottom Line

I conducted an extensive investigation and discovered that the answer is negative. Red Bull contains no components that can temper or break glass, whether cold or hot. People underestimate the amount of energy and force required to break the glass.

In my perspective, Red Bull is one of the best energy drinks on the market. It works exceptionally effectively by providing an immediate energy boost that lasts for several hours.
