Celsius: Does It Pack a Punch with Creatine? Find Out

Celsius: Does It Pack a Punch with Creatine? Find Out

Celsius energy drink is quickly becoming a favorite in the rapidly expanding energy drink sector.

Each Celsius energy drink has these components from their “MetaPlus” proprietary blend, whether it is non-carbonated and naturally sweetened (sweetened with Stevia) or created primarily as a pre-workout (Heat). Taurine, guarana extract, green tea extract, caffeine, ginger extract, vitamin C, and calcium are all included in this blend.

You may wonder if Celsius have creatine or not, and the answer is negative.

Celsius lacks creatine, a kind of amino acid. Celsius BCAA, on the other hand, contains important amino acids such as leucine, isoleucine, and valine (branched-chain amino acids) that can help in recovery and minimize muscular fatigue, damage, and soreness.

As we’re here to talk about the product and its ingredients, not the pretty paper it’s wrapped in, it’s only better to dive in without any delay.

What is Creatine?

Creatine is an amino acid discovered mostly in the muscles and the brain of your body.

Creatine is mostly stored as phosphocreatine in your muscles, where it is used for energy. As a result, creatine is taken orally to boost athletic performance and muscle mass.

Oral creatine is also used to treat brain abnormalities, neuromuscular issues, congestive heart failure, and other illnesses. To treat aging skin, topical creatine may be utilized.

Does Celsius Have Creatine?

Celsius doesn’t have creatine, an amino acid.

Celsius BCAA, on the other hand, contains essential amino acids like leucine, isoleucine, and valine (Branched-Chain Amino Acids) that help reduce muscle fatigue, damage, and soreness.

Every Celsius energy drink contains these ingredients from their unique “MetaPlus” blend, whether it is non-carbonated and naturally sweetened with Stevia or designed primarily as a pre-workout (Heat). This combination contains taurine, guarana extract, green tea extract, caffeine, ginger extract, vitamin C, and calcium.

Ingredients of Celsius Energy Drink

Certain studies demonstrate that some of the chemicals in Celsius energy drinks have metabolism-boosting characteristics.

Celsius claims to have a special “MetaPlus” combination that boosts metabolism and burns calories. It bills itself as a “clinically proved to function” fitness drink.

That’s a bold claim.

Examining the fine print:

“The FDA has not examined these statements.”

It has a whopping 300mg of caffeine—and let’s discuss more on that later.

The Celsius “MetaPlus proprietary blend” ingredients (1.81g) are present in all varieties:

  1. Taurine
  2. Guarana
  3. Caffeine
  4. Glucuronolactone
  5. Ginger extract
  6. Green Tea extract

Green Tea Extract

Celsius makes use of a particular green tea extract with a specific EGCG ratio (epigallocatechin gallate). In reality, scientists have discovered that EGCG increases metabolism, which burns more calories and eliminates more fat.

Furthermore, evidence suggests that green tea may be beneficial for weight loss. A study published in this research found that 12 weeks of high-dose green tea extract resulted in considerable weight loss, decreased BMI, and decreased waistline circumference. There were no negative effects, and cholesterol levels improved.

Isn’t green tea the best? You can’t go wrong. It’s at the top of the Celsius energy drink ingredients list, so you know it’s fantastic.

The Celsius can, however, does not specify how much green tea extract is included in a can, so we don’t know if it’s just a tiny pinch for marketing purposes or if it’s enough to attain the clinically effective amount.

Green tea provides some health benefits.

Guarana Seed Extract

Celsius scientists went deep into the Amazon rainforest to find guarana, a vital ingredient in the blend. It is a natural source of caffeine that appears to be quite strong.

In reality, it’s been used for generations in traditional Amazonian medicine as a stimulant known as “the elixir of long life.”

Celsius specifically uses the seeds (not the roots), which have double the caffeine level of a conventional coffee bean.

Ginger

Ginger, or “Zingiber officinale” if you’re feeling fancy, is getting some attention as a superfood these days. It has been shown to improve digestion, regulate blood sugar, reduce inflammation, and other benefits.

It hasn’t assembled a standing for itself as a metabolism booster, but it appears that a more efficient digestive procedure frees up more of the body’s energy for other benefits.

This Celsius energy drink component is also known for its “amazing spicy flavor” (untraceable in a can of Sparkling Orange, however).

Vitamin Complex

Celsius is happy to provide a variety of critical vitamins and minerals in its product. These vitamins are thought to be necessary for metabolism and energy production, as well as overall health.

Vitamin B12, for example, aids in the formation of DNA and red blood cells. Biotin, on the other hand, aids in the breakdown of fats and proteins. Vitamin C is advantageous to the immune system.

Celsius claims that a can contains 100% of the daily requirement for certain important elements. A closer study of the Celsius energy drink content and dosages, on the other hand, tells a slightly different narrative.

However, they contain 100%–but in certain cases, far more than the required figure. One thousand percent of the recommended daily intake is 300mcg of biotin per serving.

Overkill, perhaps?

Since B vitamins are water-soluble, our bodies absorb what they can and then “expel” the rest. That’s 900% of your Biotin down the drain.

Celsius not only tells you what’s in a container, but it also informs you what isn’t. Celsius energy drinks have no sugar, artificial preservatives, tastes, or colors, and neither high fructose corn syrup nor aspartame. It is vegan, gluten-free, kosher, and non-GMO certified.

Taurine

Taurine is an amino acid that is required for proper brain and body function.

It occurs naturally in human bodies but is commonly used as a supplement and as a component in energy drinks. The “wonder molecule” aids in hydration, central nervous system support, and immune system regulation. Celsius made an excellent decision!

Taurine can also help with exercising and it promotes fat burning during workouts, improves muscle endurance, and decreases injury.

How Much Caffeine Is In Celsius Energy Drink?

In a can, Celsius energy drink includes a massive amount of caffeine: 200mg of the energy-boosting bean.

This is 40mg higher than a can of Monster energy drink (160mg in a larger can), more than twice the caffeine content of Red Bull (80mg), and three times the caffeine content of a cup of espresso coffee (50-60mg).

It will undoubtedly provide you with a tremendous pick-me-up. The can does caution you not to consume more than two servings each day. This is probably something you should decide, as you’ll be entering an ‘unsafe’ zone for daily caffeine use.

Is Celsius Energy Drink Bad For You?

They’d like to think so, at least. Celsius positions itself squarely in the “healthy” category.

Sugar-free, traditional ingredients, vitamins, nutrients, and minerals… What’s not to enjoy about 100 calories burned in each can?

If you are caffeine-sensitive, you should get medical counsel before ingesting any type of high-caffeine energy drink, but Celsius is especially dangerous. 200mg of caffeine is on the jittery side of the spectrum.

After such a high, the inevitable drop occurs. REIZE, a great alternative to Celsius, is precisely developed to prevent the dreaded crash down to earth. It’s also available in powder form, so you may blend it any way you want.

While a calorie-burning mixture sounds appealing, even Celsius insists that it should be part of a daily diet that includes healthy eating and moderate activity. One can contain 200mg of caffeine per day suddenly doesn’t sound so appealing.

Many of the components in Celsius energy drink are relatively prevalent in the market, therefore it’s no better or worse than many of its competitors in many aspects. Their key selling feature is the metabolism-boosting component combination. However, as previously said, while the “MetaPlus” blend is stated to be 1.81g per can, there is no breakdown of the blend, thus we simply do not know how effective it is.

Without a doubt, Celsius is excellent. Despite my reservations regarding their health and “all-natural” claims, I am a fan of the product overall.
