When it comes to energy drinks, there has always been a debate on how safe they are to drink every day.
But, for some people, the main issue is whether certain energy drinks are vegan-friendly.
Is Coca-Cola Energy Vegan?
If you look at the ingredients of Coca-Cola Energy, you’ll notice that it doesn’t contain any animal products.
Based on the ingredients, I would say Coca-Cola Energy drink is indeed suitable for vegans.
In fact, The Coca-Cola company themselves also claimed that their product contains no milk, eggs or any other products derived from mammals.

Is Coca-Cola Energy good for you?
Personally, I don’t think that Coca-Cola energy drink is particularly healthy, but I also don’t think that it’s all that bad for you either. It also depends on which version of Coca-Cola energy that you’re drinking.
There’s both a sugar-free and original (containing sugar) version.
Ultimately, the most “dangerous” ingredients in Coca-Cola energy drink, or any energy drink for that matter, are caffeine and sugar.
I don’t think the regular Coca-Cola energy is all that good for you.
For one, it contains a whole lot of sugar which can be bad for your health in excess. On the other hand, the sugar-free version of Coca-Cola Energy doesn’t contain any sugar at all.
Both versions have a sensible amount of caffeine, with 80mg per 8.4 fl.oz can, which I consider to be an ideal amount for an energy drink.
According to the FDA, the recommended daily limit of caffeine is 400mg for a healthy adult.
With that in mind, 80mg in a single serve of Coca-Cola energy drink doesn’t seem all that much and I doubt it could actually do any harm to you unless you have a pre-existing health condition.
But, that also depends on how many cans you drink in a day and your tolerance to caffeine.
If in doubt, talk to your health professional to see whether or not Coca-Cola energy is safe for you.
Does Coca-Cola Energy help with weight loss?
Many people often want to know – do energy drinks actually help with weight loss?
The short answer is no.
There have been studies that show that consuming caffeine before physical exercise can help to burn more fat, and hence, lose more weight, compared to exercising without consuming caffeine.
However, it’s a common misconception that just because caffeine accelerates your resting energy expenditure that it will also help you to lose weight if you do nothing other than drink a can of energy drink.
In fact, some energy drinks (ahem) have actually gone out of their way to pay for studies to “prove” that they do help to burn fat.
However, I strongly suggest that you don’t fall for the marketing non-sense.
If you read the full report of the studies in question you will see that the main reason for increased fat loss was due to the caffeine, and it was also found that consuming the energy drink without doing exercise does not burn fat.
Having said all of that, I recommend that you always choose a sugar-free energy drink instead of one that contains lots of sugar.
The extra calories certainly won’t help you to lose weight.
It’s the same for Coca-Cola energy.
It most likely doesn’t help you to lose weight by itself, but if you drink it before exercise you might burn more fat than if you exercised without drinking it.
But, again, that’s only because Coca-Cola energy drink contains caffeine. There are many other drinks that also contain caffeine.
My advice is, if you want to lose weight – choose the sugar-free version instead of the original.
The regular version is something that you should probably stay away from when you’re trying to lose weight, as it contains 26g of sugar and 105 calories that you really don’t need.
Is Coca-Cola Energy suitable for the Keto diet?
Yes, in my opinion, it is but that depends on which version of the drink you’re drinking.
When it comes to the ketogenic diet, carbohydrates are the main enemy. You should try and stay away from anything that contains carbs or sugars. What that means is that the regular version of Coca-Cola energy if you’re on a keto diet.
But that doesn’t mean that you should stay away from Coca-Cola Energy.
Instead, go for the sugar-free version, it contains 0 carbs as it doesn’t have any sugar in it.
However, it does contain artificial sweeteners, and there doesn’t seem to be a clear answer within the keto community about whether or not artificial sweeteners are keto-friendly.
Ultimately, the only way to find out for sure would be to test your blood sugar levels at various intervals after consumption.
