Is Celsius Actually Good for You?

Yes, I can say that Celsius is pretty good for you considering it’s a low-carb energy drink.

It has a calorie count of only 10 per serving, so it won’t have a significant influence on your calorie-restricted diet.

On the other hand, caffeine-sensitive people should shy away from Celsius due to its high caffeine content. Caffeine may be to blame for any ill effects you may get with Celsius since it is just 100mg short of its daily limits.

So to avoid any unwanted side effects from high caffeine consumption, the FDA recommends that you limit your daily caffeine intake to 400 mg or less.

I’ve covered this topic in a lot more detail in my other article, so if you want to dig a little deeper, definitely check out my “Is Celsius bad for you?” article.

What Does Celsius Taste Like?

Well, the taste of Celsius differs widely depending on its different flavors.

But one thing is for sure, unlike many other energy drinks with a syrupy or nauseating taste, Celsius has a fresh and light taste. With that said, the Sparkling Wild Berry and Watermelon flavors were two of my favorites.

Although you may come across some reviews claiming that Celsius has a “synthetic” aftertaste, I personally, couldn’t detect it. Even so, I believe Celsius to be better than similar brands.

Indeed, Celsius is a terrific beverage to have on hand when you’re feeling a little low on energy or if you’re craving something sweet. However, a single can pack quite a punch because of its caffeine content, so I recommend just consuming half of it at a time and waiting for it to take effect.

Let me just warn you as a regular energy drinks consumer, after a few months of regular drinking, you’ll start to lose some of the benefits of caffeine.

As a result, you may want to try skipping a day of drinking Celsius now and then to drink less caffeine, reduce your tolerance, and then return to them for a fresher effect.

What Does Celsius Orange Taste Like?

If you’ve ever had Orangina, you’ll know exactly what I’m talking about when I say that Celsius’s Sparkling Orange tastes like a refreshing orange soda.

Take pleasure in the luscious and rich taste of oranges in this flavor to help you get through the day. I think having some hints of orange zest taste in every drink will make them more delicious.

That’s what Celsius did, each of their flavors has this citrusy taste. So, trust me when I say that you will not be disappointed if you try all of their flavors.

Celsius Flavors Ranked

While Celsius offers a wide selection of tastes to choose from, I can only pick five that I believe are particularly deserving of your attention.

Sparkling Wild Berry

Simply said, the Sparkling Wild Berry Celsius flavor is the best. This combination of antioxidant-rich fruits is the first thing I go for when I need a quick energy boost.

The sweetness, tartness, and juiciness of the blueberries and raspberries in this drink are all well-balanced.

Make the most of your workout while you’re enjoying the delightful taste of wild berries! Celsius’s Wild Berry is the perfect go-to refreshment for those who like their exercise drinks with a bit of fizz.

Sparkling Watermelon

The sparkling Watermelon flavor makes it into this list of the best flavors from Celsius.

Something about this watermelon taste transports you to a tropical paradise. Your body and mind will be revitalized with just one sip of this flavor.

Sparkling Grape

Indulge in a delectable burst of succulent grapes to satiate your thirst. The benefit of grape flavor is that it always provides a recognized taste.

There are just a few different variations of this fruit taste. In general, if you like grapes, you’ll appreciate this taste as much as I do.

Sparkling Fuji Apple Pear

The crisp, delicious combination of Fuji apple and pear might help you feel more energized.

The apple is delicious enough already, but the sweetness is amplified even more when coupled with pear. The sweetness of this taste will appeal to those who like sugary treats.

Sparkling Peach Mango

Peaches and mangos are a match made in heaven. When it comes to mango as a standalone fruit treat, I’m not a massive fan, but it’s an excellent taste booster in soft drinks.

And, of course, it’s impossible to go wrong when it comes to peaches in any form. Peach is a must-have in any form, whether fruit or beverage.

Energy Drink Alternatives to Celsius

Here are some alternative brands you can try if you believe Celsius is a little too much for your taste buds and caffeine tolerance.

Reign

Reign is a pretty decent workout buddy in the gym. It has all you need, including a solid amount of caffeine and nutrition to get you through those sets.

For the record, a typical 16-ounce can of Reign has 300mg of caffeine, 0 to 10 calories. It is sugar-free, with a dash of vitamins, BCAAs, and CoQ10 added for good measure.

No matter how you look at it, Reign accomplishes precisely what it says on the can. However, you may want to consider your caffeine tolerance before consuming it since not everyone can tolerate the high level of caffeine that it contains.

Full Throttle

Full Throttle can assist you with your body’s goals and demands, so your quest in finding a potent energy drink ends here.

Full Throttle has 160 milligrams of caffeine, 230 calories, and 55 grams of sugar per serving. Not to mention, B vitamins, which your body needs to function correctly, are also included in Full Throttle.

REIZE (Best Choice)

REIZE
REIZE is the best.

After reading about Celsius, I’m sure you’re probably thinking that it does not get any better than this. Well, I hate to break it to you, but you’re wrong.

If you’re looking for an energy drink that’s on the go, REIZE is your best bet.

There are just four grams of powder in the packet, making it very light for its intended use as a travel-friendly energy drink.

Also, in contrast to Celsius’s high caffeine content, I’m confident you’ll enjoy REIZE more. Taking only 50 mg of REIZE will provide you with a nice energy boost without making you lose your cool or make you unable to concentrate.

Not to mention, REIZE has a mix of taurine, ginseng, and B vitamins in the formulation, delivering a long-lasting boost that doesn’t leave you with a crash.

You can get REIZE for only around $1 and you can even have your orders shipped straight to your door! That’s amazing value for your money.

Bottomline

Overall, Celsius ranks very high on my personal list of favorite energy drinks owing to the wide variety of flavors available, as well as the inclusion of key vitamins and minerals.

However, be mindful not to go overboard with these drinks since a single dose contains 200mg of caffeine. Even though they are fantastic, keep in mind that energy drinks might have adverse side effects if they are consumed in excess.

Yet, despite its high caffeine concentration, this pre-workout drink is made of natural components, not to mention it tastes great.

Still, no matter how tasty or beneficial they may look, Celsius is still an energy drink that comes with side effects.
