But, should you really be drinking a can of G Fuel every day?
The short answer is that as long as you don’t have more than one can of Gfuel or have it alongside any other caffeinated beverages, a can of G Fuel a day should be fine, though I don’t necessarily recommend it.

How Many Calories Are in G Fuel Cans?
Each 16 fl.oz can of G Fuel has zero calories, meaning won’t necessarily give you ‘energy’ in the traditional sense.
With zero calories, G Fuel cans don’t affect your diet in terms of calories, where the recommended daily caloric intake ranges between 2000 to 2400 calories for women and 2400 to 3000 calories for men.
As such, if you’re on a diet or someone who frequently counts calories, a can of G Fuel shouldn’t drastically alter your pre-planned diet.
As always, energy drinks such as canned G Fuel aren’t meant to substitute an actual meal, so if you’re feeling peckish, maybe it’s best to grab something healthy to eat instead of another can of G Fuel.

How Much Caffeine is in G Fuel Cans?
Every 16 fl.oz can of G Fuel contains 300mg of caffeine, which makes it one of the strongest energy drinks available on the market.
For comparison, a regular serving of G Fuel Powder only has 150mg of caffeine in it, so G Fuel cans actually have double the amount of what you might’ve been accustomed to if you’re a G Fuel powder consumer.
Considering I personally prefer somewhere between 50 to 100mg of caffeine per serving, 300mg is way too much for me.
But, if you’re a hardened caffeine veteran or are really in need of that boost to help your focus and memory, cracking open a can of G Fuel should serve you well.

Of course, how much caffeine you’re able to handle depends on your caffeine metabolism.
In general, however, it’s not a good idea to have any other caffeinated products while having a can of G Fuel, and definitely don’t have it if you happen to be pregnant or are caffeine-sensitive.
How Much Sugar is in G Fuel Cans?
The good news is, G Fuel Cans are sugar-free and have no sugar in them whatsoever.
Considering that most energy drinks are sugary, it’s quite a relief that G Fuel isn’t and doesn’t have any sugar in it as too much sugar can be pretty bad for you. Take this video below for example:
Besides that, you also won’t get the dreaded sugar crashes with G Fuel Cans, meaning you’ll be able to get the energy you need without feeling terribly lethargic after it wears off.
However, despite not having sugar, G Fuel Cans do have a few other ingredients that may raise some concerns.
The first is Maltodextrin, which is a thickener and preservative used in G Fuel Cans.
Maltodextrin adds a dietarily insignificant amount of sugar, but even small amounts can raise your overall blood sugar levels.
As such, even though it might generally be safe, it’s advisable to stay away from it if you happen to be diabetic due to the possible spike in blood sugar levels.

Although G Fuel is sugar-free, it does contain artificial sweeteners, namely sucralose and acesulfame potassium.
Unless your sugar-free energy drink explicitly states itself to be naturally sweetened, you’re bound to find artificial sweeteners in your drink.
Though G Fuel Cans have sucralose and acesulfame potassium, both are zero-calorie sweeteners and shouldn’t have a big impact on you nutrition-wise.
While we still don’t know everything about artificial sweeteners, they have been approved by the FDA, so they’re probably here to stay.
Hence, so long as you have G Fuel cans in moderation, you shouldn’t have to be too worried about the artificial sweeteners present in the drink.
Do G Fuel Cans have B-Vitamins?
B-Vitamins are found in almost all energy drinks, and canned G Fuel is no exception, although they seem to have a much lower B-Vitamin content than its powdered counterpart.

Do G Fuel Cans Have Side Effects?
As long as you don’t have pre-existing health conditions and have them in moderation, G Fuel Cans shouldn’t give you any extreme side effects.
Of course, you’re definitely more likely to experience side effects if you have too much G Fuel in a day due to G Fuel’s high amount of caffeine, which could lead to a caffeine overdose.
As a tip, I wouldn’t recommend you have a can of G Fuel late in the afternoon as the high caffeine content will definitely keep you awake long after you decide to try to sleep.
Apart from that, it might be best for you to stay away from G Fuel Cans if you have any allergies to milk, eggs, wheat, or soybeans, as G Fuel Cans are manufactured in a facility that processes these ingredients.
Are G Fuel Cans Better than G Fuel Powder?
It really depends on what you need from your energy drink. If you want to tailor your servings, G Fuel Powder is the way to go. If you need something quick, standardized and easy, then you can’t go wrong with G Fuel Cans.
G Fuel Powder is definitely the more flexible and cost-efficient of the two, giving you the choice to determine your own servings without putting a hole in your wallet (40 servings per tub vs. a 12 or 24-pack of cans).
On the other hand, G Fuel Cans are easier to have on the go, as you don’t need to spend time mixing and measuring the drink.
Plus, the higher caffeine content might make G Fuel Cans seem more attractive to you, especially if you’re looking for an instant energy boost.
In any case, G Fuel Powder and G Fuel Cans are very different products trying to give you the same energy boost, so it’s really up to personal preference and which best suits your taste.

Is It OK To Drink G Fuel Cans Every Day?

I personally recommend that you only have one 16 fl.oz can of G Fuel per day, as 300mg of caffeine is quite a lot.
While G Fuel Cans have no calories or sugar to worry about, it still has a worrying amount of caffeine in it.
Although you’ll be fine after having one can (unless you’re caffeine-sensitive), having two cans will amount to 600mg of caffeine, which is, quite frankly, too much caffeine to have in a single day.
So to avoid a caffeine overdose and/or rapidly shaking all over the place, I’ll advise you to stick with only one can of Gfuel per day.
