Celsius On-the-Go: Can You Enjoy It Daily? (The Truth)

Celsius On-the-Go: Can You Enjoy It Daily? (The Truth)

Celsius On-the-Go is the powdered variant of the popular energy drink brand Celsius. It has no artificial flavors and colors and boasts of zero-sugar and zero-preservative content! What’s more, it also has seven essential vitamins that can help you go about your day.

In my opinion, Celsius On-the-Go’s 200mg caffeine content is sizeable enough to give you some nasty side effects if taken excessively, so if you must drink it every day, I suggest that you keep it to one packet only.

Of course, there are other things you must consider too. Your ideal daily intake depends on your health, caffeine sensitivity, and lifestyle.

To know more about how you can consume Celsius On-the-Go safely every day, keep reading!

Nutrition facts on Celsius-on-the-go
Here’s what you can find on the back of one Celsius Stick.

How Much Caffeine Is In Celsius-on-the-Go?

Caffeine is a common ingredient in energy drinks as it helps keep you feel less sleepy and lazy. Aside from that, it is known to improve cognitive and overall physical performance.

This powdered energy drink contains 200mg of caffeine which came from guarana extract. This is definitely one of the energy drinks that go past the average amount of caffeine.

If we consider the fact that most energy drinks have about 80-150 mg of caffeine per serving, then you can see why Celsius On-the-Go can go overboard. I prefer my energy drinks to have around 50mg to 100mg of caffeine per can or sachet, just the right amount for a caffeine kick without the nasty side effects.

If based on the current average, 200mg of caffeine looks quite a lot. But it is just half the amount of the FDA-recommended safe daily intake, which is 400mg.

Therefore, 200mg of caffeine is a safe amount and will not cause you to feel any caffeine overdose symptoms. However, if you are sensitive to caffeine, this amount might not be suitable for you.

Before I forget, here are some severe side effects you can get from caffeine overdose:

  • Headaches
  • Stomachaches
  • Restlessness
  • Anxiety
  • Insomnia
  • Dizziness
  • Dehydration

While the fair amount of Celsus On-the-Go won’t suddenly get you to topple over the limit, it’s still best to keep your caffeine intake in moderation as you might consume other caffeinated products throughout your day.

You should also consider that you can get caffeine from other sources like soda and chocolate, which you might often eat. So it’s best to always leave plenty of room for caffeine intake!

How Often Can I Drink Celsius On-the-Go?

According to its makers, it’s best to consume Celsius in the morning, at lunch, or before undergoing physical activity because it has lots of stimulants. It can make you more alert, just like any caffeinated drink.

In fact, when it comes to energy drinks, the general rule is that they are best consumed in the morning or before strenuous activities because that’s when you can maximize their energizing effects. Taking energy drinks at night is encouraged because they might mess with your body clock and lead to sleepless nights.

How Many Servings Of Celsius On-The-Go Can You Drink Per Day?

For me, I think one stick of Celsius Energy is enough for the day. The main reason for sticking to one serving is its caffeine content.

If you consume more than one pack of Celsius On-The-Go, you may encounter side effects of caffeine overdose. The symptoms of caffeine overdose include:

  • irregular heartbeat
  • shakiness
  • feeling sick or vomiting
  • confusion
  • panic attack

Sugar Content In Celsius On-The-Go

Celsius On-the-go is completely sugar-free, and that means you don’t need to worry about any sugar crashes at all.

In case you’re wondering, how is it still tasty? The energy drink is still tasty because it uses sucralose as its artificial sweetener. And erythritol as its sugar alcohol

Sucralose is a popular sweetener because it can taste 600 times that the natural sugar. This sweetener is safe for general use as sucralose is FDA approved.

Just like artificial sweeteners, sugar alcohols are also used to make a product sweet. Erythritol is zero-calorie, which means it doesn’t add a calorie on Celsius on the go. You can trust that it won’t raise your sugar level or upset your stomach.

Is Celsius On-the-Go Gluten-Free?

Yes, Celsius-on-the-go doesn’t contain gluten. The fact, that’s it’s gluten-free means that it is safe for your everyday diet.

Many professionals including nutritionists advise that everyone should have a gluten-free diet — whether it’s doctor prescribed or not.

You need to consume only gluten-free products in your diet if you have celiac disease. It’s a problem in your digestive that can damage your small intestine. A few of its symptoms are having diarrhea, bloating, gas, anemia, and growth issues.

This means that you must not take gluten products, which is a protein common in wheat, barley, rye, and triticale.

Even if you have this disease, you can consume Celsius On-the-go without any worries.

Is it OK to Celsius on an Empty Stomach?

Not a good idea. Celsus-on-the-Go is not an alternative for a meal and taking it on an empty stomach can be harmful to your health.

Drinking any energy drinks on an empty stomach can cause problems in your hydrochloric acid production. This will hurt your body’s reaction when you finally have your meal and your metabolism.

Some of its symptoms also include heartburns, irritated gut, and stomach lining damage.

Is Celsius-on-the-go a Pre-workout?

Yes. It’s an energy drink that you can also use as a pre-workout. You know you can use energy drinks and pre-workout drinks with the same purpose: to get energy from them.

The thing that makes Celsus-on-the-Go an ideal pre-workout is its essential vitamins. It also claims to be Certified Vegan. Check this table to know more.

Are Celsius Drinks Bad for Your Heart?

If you don’t have any medical condition and consume Celsius On-the-Go responsibly, it shouldn’t be harmful to you.

However, if consume too much caffeine regularly, it can cause high blood pressure and increased heart rate, which is not healthy. I guess you can’t prevent this from happening especially if you’re in the middle of an intense workout.

According to their website, consuming Celsius On-the-go does indeed increase metabolic rate. And this is normal because it has ingredients that increase heart rate and blood pressure, such as green tea and guarana.

In my opinion, you should drink Celsius On-the-go in moderation so that you don’t experience any heart-related problems.

Does Celsius make you gain weight?

There is no link between Celsius and weight gain. Weight gain, on the other hand, can be a side effect of some medical conditions associated with an elevated body temperature, such as an infection.

Does Celsius Make You Poop More?

It can if your stomach is pretty sensitive.

There’s a study that says consuming even less than 200mg of caffeine can still cause increased bowel movements. How much more if you take 200mg and more?

Also, you can experience problems like frequent urination and urgency if you consume too much caffeine regularly.

Celsius On-The-Go Energy Drink Alternatives

If you’re looking to explore other energy drinks, I can give you more options, including my favorite.

Celsius

Celsius energy drink also has canned versions. The popularity of the canned version actually gave birth to the powdered form.

Celsius is a good energy drink to start your day and a good companion during your late-night studies. Just remember not to take it within your bedtime so that it won’t cause you insomnia.

It also has 200mg of caffeine that can power you through the day. However, it also has a powerful version called Celsius Heat. Out of the three, this one is a more pre-workout material because of its 300mg.

For me, I prefer Celsius On-the-Go because it is handy and at the same time delicious and energizing.

Lit Energy

Lit energy has a higher caffeine content which is 250mg. It’s also sugar-free with 20 calories. This is also a good energy drink because it has Creatinine, Citrulline, and Beta-Alanine that were designed for those who live an outgoing and active lifestyle.

This also uses sucralose as its artificial sweetener. It comes in a can that contains ingredients that are dedicated to enhancing specific physical performance.

In addition, LIT energy has a powdered pre-workout drink in a tub called LIT AF. Expect the effects to double if you go with the latter.

Bottomline

Overall, I think you can drink a stick of Celsius On-The-Go every day. If you buy 1 box, it has 14 sticks inside, which can last up to two weeks.

However, always be careful of your intake because the brand contains 200mg of caffeine that can quickly add up. Especially if you’re sensitive to caffeine, that amount can cause some side effects like insomnia and increased heart rate.

If you do wanna make Celsius On-the-Go a habit, try to keep it to one serving a day only. In my opinion, that’s just enough to give you a boost without toeing the line too much.
