Daily Dose of Bang Energy Drink: Is It Safe? (Truth Exposed)

Daily Dose of Bang Energy Drink: Is It Safe? (Truth Exposed)

Short Answer: Yes, you can drink Bang Energy every day in moderation.

Bang, with its high amount of caffeine, is by far one of the strongest energy drinks in the world. But that’s not to say that it isn’t great as an energy drink for those who have a tolerance for it.

And not to mention those who love a stronger boost of caffeine each day.

However, with so much caffeine, you may wonder if you can drink it every day without repercussions.

Let’s take a look into what’s in Bang and if it is safe for daily consumption.

Bang Energy Drink Nutrition and Ingredients

In order to assess the energy drink properly, we have to take a look at the ingredients.

I’ve also done a lab test on these ingredients and have an expanded list here.

The results were SHOCKING.

Spoiler: Bang doesn’t actually contain 300mg of caffeine according to the lab test results

According to what’s printed on the can, each 16 fl.oz of Bang contains:

Bang Nutrition Facts Summary

It also contains smaller amounts of:

  • Carbonated water
  • Citric acid anhydrous
  • Caffeine Anhydrous
  • Sodium benzoate (preservative)
  • Potassium sorbate (preservative)
  • Potassium citrate monohydrate
  • Sucralose (artificial sweetener)
  • Natural flavors
  • L-Leucine
  • Potassium phosphate dibasic
  • Vitamin C (ascorbic acid)
  • Acesulfame potassium (sweetener)
  • Magnesium chloride
  • SUPER CREATINE (Creatyl-L-Leucine)
  • L-Isoleucine
  • L-valine
  • Calcium chloride
  • Calcium disodium EDTA

To break it down for you, let’s look at each ingredient and assess the parts one by one.

Caffeine

Bang energy drink contains 300mg of caffeine. The FDA suggests a maximum of 400mg of caffeine each day.

I would say it’s pushing the envelope a little bit but if you consume only Bang each day and avoid other sources of caffeine like coffee, tea, or another energy drink I’d say it should be alright.

Though I wouldn’t drink Bang at night unless you’re a night owl or you work at night.

With so much caffeine, it can help you to be alert and concentrate, but if you drink so much at night and don’t do anything but relax and watch TV, it might cause you to have horrible insomnia and then fatigue the next day.

It also really depends on your caffeine tolerance. If you know that you can’t tolerate large amounts of caffeine each day then I wouldn’t suggest drinking Bang on a daily basis.

It’s also inadvisable to be drinking so much caffeine if you have anxiety, panic disorders, or high blood pressure.

However, if you are a healthy person and you drink more caffeine than your body can handle, it might cause:

  • Anxiety
  • Insomnia
  • Digestive Problems
  • Muscle Breakdown
  • Addiction
  • High blood pressure
  • Fatigue

I would suggest knowing how much is too much and being aware when it comes to Bang and its high caffeine content.

Watch out for too much caffeine in your system.

Artificial Sweeteners and Preservatives

With sucralose, acesulfame potassium, and many others that have way more scientific names, Bang Energy packs a lot of artificial ingredients.

However, in terms of whether those artificial sweeteners and preservatives are necessarily bad for you, I would say not necessarily.

The United States has a law about the types of sweeteners permitted in their food.

A look at the FDA website reveals that the artificial sweeteners here are permitted by the US government and are safe for consumption.

As for preservatives, I also found another article on the FDA website that states that for a preservative to be able to be used in a food, it has to comply with several US laws and codexes.

In conclusion, I would say that the preservatives and sweeteners used in Bang Energy Drink would have gone through extensive experimentation.

And as such, I would say that you do not have to worry that they will harm you.

If you want to know more about the sweeteners and preservatives, you can check out another post I wrote about the ingredients of Bang.

Vitamins

Bang Energy comes with several vitamins and includes Vitamin C and citric acid.

However, in another post, I wrote, that Vitamin C, Vitamin B, and magnesium contents are off the charts.

In fact, there is actually more than 50% of the recommended amount of Vitamin C every day.

I don’t know about you, but while vitamins and minerals are good for us, consuming too many of them isn’t something I want to aim for. Too many vitamins are usually passed out through urine, but in rare cases may cause:

  • Diarrhea
  • Nausea
  • Vomiting
  • Headache
  • Stomach Cramps

That’s a little alarming but the good news about Bang is that despite the concerns, if you know how much to drink every day and watch your body, it’s completely alright and you’re not at risk of consuming too many vitamins from a single can.

Is it safe to drink a can of Bang every day?

Now take note that we are talking about a can. One. And not more than one.

In another post I wrote, I mentioned that with the amount of caffeine recommended by the FDA it’s not recommended for you to drink more than one can each day.

However, if you only drink one can, I would say it’s alright because it goes with the amount that the FDA recommends.

If you drink 2 cans, that would be a whopping 600mg of caffeine inside your body which would be a bit of a shock to your system and certainly isn’t recommended.

Not to mention it puts you at higher risk of the health problems that come with consuming so much caffeine.

Perhaps instead of one can of Bang a day, you only drink half a can and with the reduced caffeine inside you, you can open yourself up to drink other caffeinated drinks, including tea and coffee without exceeding the 400mg recommended limit.

Bang Energy Drink Flavors

Bang comes in many many flavors and there is more or less something for everyone. It currently has:

  • Bangster Berry
  • Birthday Cake Bash
  • Black Cherry Vanilla
  • Blue Razz
  • Champagne
  • Cherry Blade Lemonade
  • Citrus Twist
  • Cotton Candy
  • Crisp Candy Apple
  • Frosé Rosé
  • Lemon Drop
  • Miami Cola
  • Peach Mango
  • Pina Colada
  • Power Punch
  • Purple Guava Pear
  • Purple Haze
  • Rainbow Unicorn
  • Root Beer
  • Sour Heads
  • Star Blast
  • Purple Kiddles
  • Strawberry Blast

That’s not all the flavors. They also come in caffeine-free versions which have several flavors including:

  • Birthday Cake Bash
  • Black Cherry Vanilla
  • Cherry Blade Lemonade
  • Cotton Candy
  • Miami Cola
  • Purple Guava Pear
  • Sour Heads

Personally, I feel like having a caffeine-free option takes away the point of an energy drink but if you’re looking for a caffeine-free alternative there are options for you.

That’s not the end of the list, Bang also has energy shots, which are basically small, carbonated energy shots.

The flavors for these are:

  • Bangster Berry
  • Birthday Cake Bash
  • Frose Rose
  • Peach Mango
  • Purple Haze
  • Rainbow Unicorn

And the list goes on with Keto-Coffee Flavors which includes:

  • Birthday Cake Bash

These are Keto-friendly if you’re on a Keto diet.

Wow, that is a lot of flavors with even more coming soon. With the amount to choose from here, it’s no wonder Bang is so famous.

How long does Bang Energy Drink stay in the body?

On average, energy drinks including Bang take about 10 minutes after consumption to activate and they will peak at about 45 minutes.

After that, the effects will become less and less over time after the caffeine has become fully absorbed into your bloodstream.

However, it won’t be until about 6 hours at least for your body to fully absorb 50% of the caffeine. If you are a woman on birth control, it may take double that amount of time.

After 12 hours it will be fully absorbed into your body and you’re good to go.

However, this also depends and varies from individual to individual depending on your body’s tolerance to caffeine.

If you drink caffeine daily it might be absorbed faster than if you drink it only once a week.

Overall it depends on you and how much you can tolerate it. I did a little digging and found that some energy drinks have actually caused people to fail drug tests.

So be careful about what’s in your energy drink and how much you drink at once.

Does Bang work?

Having drunk Bang myself I can assure you that it really does work in terms of giving you a great boost.

I drank it in the morning before I went for my morning jog followed by some time working on the computer.

And drinking Bang in the morning, helped me wake up and enhanced my exercise by a noticeable amount.

Afterwards, I felt super focused when I went to work and powered through my day before feeling tired at night.

And since the energy drink had been almost fully absorbed by the time I got home from work, I was ready to sleep and Bang had done its job.

So the question of whether it worked, yes it does and it’s great for keeping you focused and helping you in your daily life.

Are Bang Energy drinks unhealthy?

Generally speaking, most energy drinks including Bang are unhealthy due to their active ingredients.

Bang is loaded with a high amount of caffeine and preservatives that can be harmful to your health when consumed in large quantities.

In fact, there is a warning message on Bang cans stating that children and pregnant or breastfeeding women shouldn’t consume the beverage.

Where to buy Bang Energy Drink?

There are many places to buy Bang Energy Drinks because it’s so popular.

You can get it at your local Walmart or Target for a standard price without shipping or you can try looking online to get the best deals and maybe you can find one that’s cheaper.

It really depends on whether you’d prefer to pay more for it to get delivered to your door or maybe you feel you can find cheaper deals in stores.

If you really want to find a good deal online, you should check out my other article where I cover everything you need to know to find the best deals for Bang energy drink online.

Is it safe to drink Bang every day?

My conclusion on whether it’s safe to drink Bang energy drink every day is, that if you are healthy with no chronic health problems then yes, it is safe to drink every day.

But, I would suggest that you stick to only one can a day.

This is because if you drink more than that, caffeine can be risky for your health.

If you have health problems then I wouldn’t suggest drinking it every day. You should definitely check with your doctor and get advice about your specific situation before making Bang a daily ritual.

For example, if you already suffer from insomnia or high blood pressure then I suggest that if you want to drink Bang every day you should limit yourself to half a can or maybe less.

…Or it might be easier just to switch to a different energy drink with a more sensible amount of caffeine (hint hint!).

Overall, if you want to drink Bang every day you can but make sure to watch your own health and see a doctor if you start to feel sick after drinking it.

REIZE (10 out of 10)

In my opinion, REIZE is a much better option than Bang.

REIZE only has 50mg of caffeine and definitely more doable if you want to drink more than once per day.

Overall that combination gives you energy all day long and helps you concentrate at work, exercise, or anything else that you might do throughout the day.

I would say that while Bang is great, REIZE suits me the best as the energy drink I’d like to drink each day. Having a more sensible amount of caffeine makes it a much safer option too.
