3D Energy Product Review

How Much Caffeine Is In 3D Energy?

3D Energy drink contains 200mg of caffeine per 16 fl. oz.

That’s actually quite a lot as it comes out to about 12.5mg of caffeine for every fl. oz.

Personally, I prefer taking between 50mg to 100mg of caffeine for every energy drink serving. I find that to be the sweet spot for me.

But of course, everyone has different needs and caffeine tolerance levels, so feel free to go for something stronger if you feel it will work better for you.

According to the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA), a healthy individual shouldn’t consume more than 400mg of caffeine per day.

Coming back to the caffeine content in a can of 3D Energy, what this means is that you can only drink up to two cans in any single day. However, I do not advise consuming two cans in a day as you can still get caffeine from other sources such as food and beverages.

Bear in mind, exceeding the 400mg limit will expose you to multiple health risks such as:

  • anxiety
  • digestive issues
  • insomnia
  • caffeine dependency
  • high blood pressure

For a more detailed view, here’s how much the FDA recommends taking your caffeine.

AgeRecommended Daily Amount
Kids60-80 mg
Teenagers 100 mg
18 and above400 mg
FDA-recommended Caffeine Intake

How Much Sugar Is There In 3D Energy?

3D Energy drink is completely sugar-free.

That doesn’t mean that the drink tasted flat or horrible though. In fact, I can assure you that the drink is still very sweet and flavourful.

This is because of the artificial sweetener sucralose which is said to be 400 to 700 times sweeter than sugar.

When you consume sucralose in your food, your body will not digest it and this is why it doesn’t contribute to your calorie count. This is a great option if you are suffering from health problems such as diabetes and obesity.

Despite it being less harmful to our bodies compared to regular sugar, it doesn’t mean that you can go crazy and drink as much 3D Energy as you like.

For one thing, there’s your daily caffeine limit to watch out for, as we’ve already discussed above.

Secondly, there’s also an Acceptable Daily Intake (ADI) for sucralose that has been determined by the FDA which is 5mg/kg body weight per day.

So, for example, if you weigh 55kg (around 121 pounds), you can have up to 275mg of sucralose in a day, according to the FDA.

As long as you stay within the ADI, you should be fine.

Are There Preservatives In 3D Energy?

Yes, 3D Energy drinks contain several preservatives including sodium benzoate and sodium nitrate.

Your initial thoughts may be that preservatives are not good to have in your energy drink. But without these preservatives, your drink would not be able to be kept for very long.

However, consuming too many preservatives can cause some pretty bad repercussions including:

  • breathing difficulties
  • weakens heart tissues
  • obesity
  • cancer
  • digestive issues

Well, under normal circumstances, you really shouldn’t have anything to worry about since it’s unlikely you’ll be consuming that many preservatives in just one or two cans of 3D Energy.

But it’s just good to be aware of these side effects so that you don’t go overboard in your consumption at any time.

Is 3D Energy Drink Good For Health?

Personally, I’d say that a 3D Energy drink may be beneficial for you in some ways if it’s consumed in moderation.

But it’s hard to say whether or not it actually does anything good or bad for your health as a whole.

What I mean when I say it’s beneficial is that by drinking one or two cans of 3D Energy, you will get a much-needed energy boost and increase your concentration.

It may also improve your mood and help you get through the day even while you’re tired or fatigued.

However, if you have too much 3D Energy, you may encounter symptoms such as:

  • nausea
  • vomiting
  • headaches
  • insomnia
  • nervousness

If you would like to find out more about whether energy drinks are truly bad for you, then please also check out this other post that I’ve written that covers everything you need to know.

On the whole, I’d say it’s hard to prove that 3D Energy either helps or hinders your health.

But as long as you drink it in moderation and it helps you function better at work, for exercise or to accomplish the desired task, then it might be a useful addition to your diet.

For the final say, check with your doctor.

How Long Does It Take For 3D Energy Drink To Work?

3D energy drink can work pretty fast, but it won’t give you an energy boost for long.

As soon as you consume 3D Energy, it will take about 10 minutes to enter your bloodstream. However, some people can start feeling the effects sooner.

The caffeine will be fully absorbed into your bloodstream between 30 to 50 minutes after you’ve drunk 3D Energy. You will start to actually feel the effects of an energy boost somewhere around the 10 to 45-minute mark.

After about an hour, you’ll start to experience a dip in energy as the impact of the caffeine starts to wear off.

But it will be another 5 to 6 hours before your body is able to reduce the caffeine content in your bloodstream by half. Then, it will take another 5 to 6 hours for it to be flushed out totally.

In other words, it will effectively take half a day for your body to completely rid of the caffeine you ingest.

Pro Tip: Try to have your 3D Energy drink in the morning or before lunchtime so you are giving your body enough time to process the caffeine and not interfere with your sleep at night.

Where To Buy 3D Energy And Price

You can find out where to buy 3D Energy drinks from the Store Locator link on the brand’s official website.

Alternatively, you can make your purchase online using the links provided on the website. For US consumers, you can get 3D Energy delivered to your door from GNC or Amazon.

If you live in the UK, there’s also a link for you to use to buy the drinks via Predator Nutrition which you’ll find on the 3D website.

The only trouble with buying 3D Energy online is that you will have to pay for extra shipping costs.

Plus, you would have to wait for some time before your shipment arrives at your doorstep.

But if you value the convenience of having 3D delivered to you over the waiting time and the extra costs involved, then this might still be a smart move.

On average, you can expect 3D Energy to cost around $2 per can.

Can I have One Can Of 3D Energy A Day?

Yes, you can drink one can of 3D Energy Drink per day.

Having one can of 3D Energy a day is considered perfectly safe since the caffeine contents are only half of what the FDA recommends as your daily limit.

Besides, if you drink just one can a day, the number of artificial sweeteners and preservatives that you consume from 3D Energy will be within safe limits too.

If you’re new to energy drinks and have a low caffeine tolerance, try drinking only part of a can and then saving the rest for later so that you’re never drinking too much at once.

Alternatives to 3D Energy Drink

If you like ready-to-drink options, feel free to try these out:

However, if you prefer to have something small and convenient to carry around with you wherever you go, then powdered energy drinks may suit you better.

They’re small and convenient, and you don’t have to worry about lugging around heavy drink cans in order to enjoy your favourite energy drink.

There’s even the flexibility to mix them with whatever beverage you like, and you can have the freedom to control the sweetness of the drink and how strong or diluted it is.

Some powdered energy drinks you should try are:

REIZE (10 out of 10)

I would personally recommend REIZE as a good alternative to the 3D Energy drink because of its great flavour and smart selection of ingredients.

REIZE only has 50mg of caffeine compared to 3D Energy’s 200mg. So you have greater control over the amount of caffeine you consume throughout the day.

REIZE also contains taurine, ginseng, and B vitamins that all work together to give you the perfect energy boost, with no crash.

REIZE, like 3D Energy, is also completely sugar-free. Unlike 3D though, REIZE only costs around $1 per sachet and this covers shipping costs too. It’s incredibly good value.

Try REIZE today and I’m sure you’ll agree that it’s better than 3D Energy.
