Bee NRG Review (Worth It)

Bee NRG Review (Worth It)

If you want a new themed energy drink, Bee Firm’s Bee NRG drink won’t disappoint you. This drink has organic ingredients like Kimberley Kakadu plums, known for their vitamin C content. In fact, since its 2018 release, Bee NRG became known as the beverage with the highest Vitamin C content globally

Aside from that, Bee NRG contains guarana, ginseng, and Australian honey. Just Australian honey alone already includes antioxidants that can slow down cell damage. It also protects your cells from free radicals produced in your body when you’ve been exposed to radiation or tobacco smoke.

I tried Bee NRG for myself and I have to say that honey takes centre stage in this drink and that alone sets it apart from other energy drink brands. Aside from that, its naturally-derived ingredients make for a very refreshing drink worth a try!

Read on for a more detailed review of Bee NRG and its contents!

Its fundamental selling point is that it is a remarkable honey caffeinated drink that delivers reliable energy with these contents.

The term ‘Normal Buzz’ is this brand’s catchphrase. The expression likewise mirrors the use of guarana, a plant native to the Amazon and a popular source of caffeine.

The sugar in Bee NRG is mainly from honey. While energy drinks don’t usually use honey as the main sweetener, many people have utilized raw honey for years because of its natural sweetness and medicinal benefits.

This is how Bee NRG looks.

In fact, It’s even utilized in specific medical clinics to treat wounds. On the other hand, the honey you can find in Bee NRG and other products on the market is already pasteurized.

Because of this process, many nutrients are actually destroyed in the process. But that’s much better than not having those ingredients at all!

Bee NRG Nutrition Ingredients

You can also find these elements on a 250ml of Bee NRG:

  • Water
  • Australian Honey
  • Guarana
  • Ginseng Extract
  • Acacia Gum (414)
  • Xanthan Gum (415)
  • Acidity Regulator 330
  • Natural Flavors

Does Bee NRG Works?

Yes, it works. As I’ve said, It has guarana, which is its good source of caffeine.

If you don’t know already, the plant with the highest concentration of caffeine is guarana. Therefore, Bee NRG also improves your focus and reduces fatigue.

You may have witnessed for yourself that caffeinated products provide alertness and extra strength when you need it. This explains why most of us use coffee to start our day.

But aside from alertness and energy, caffeine can also improve your memory, decrease fatigue, and even speed up your reaction time.

Aside from caffeine, you can also get about 100 calories from each bottle of Bee NRG. Compared to other energy drink brands I’ve encountered, that seems a bit high to me, especially since more and more brands are producing calorie-free products that are more suited to diets and lifestyles.

Learn about energy and calorie burn in just less than a minute.

Even though calories can be a source of energy, having excess calories in your body isn’t a good idea. The recommended daily calorie intake is only 2,000 calories for women and 2,500 for men. With that being said, feel free to calculate just how many calories it would take before you go over the limit.

But still, if you’re looking for power, Bee NRG will definitely help you. Just make sure to burn all the calories in just a day. That is not so hard to do, especially if you have an intense workout prepared ahead of time.

Bee NRG Possible Side Effects

Speaking of caffeine, even though Bee NRG only has 50mg of it, consuming more servings and exceeding 400mg of caffeine can lead to consequences.

These symptoms are called caffeine overdose symptoms. To avoid the following, I hope you’ll limit consuming caffeinated products, especially those with a high amount of it.

This way you’re less likely to experience the following:

  • Trouble breathing
  • Vomiting
  • Hallucinations
  • Confusion
  • Chest pain
  • Irregular or fast heartbeat
  • Uncontrollable muscle movements
  • Convulsions

Now, Bee NRG also has 22.5g of sugar. This article suggests that you should only have 24g of sugar if you’re a woman and 36g if you’re a man.

As you can see, 22.5g of sugar is just a thin line away from the limit. Therefore, I suggest you only consume one serving per day. You might encounter sugar crashes if you drink more than a can of Bee NRG.

While it’s nice they used a natural alternative like honey to sweeten the drink, there is a reason why other brands have used sweeteners instead. These alternatives are calorie-free, sugar-free, and many times sweeter than natural sugar.

What Does Bee NRG Taste Like?

Bee Firm, the manufacturer of Bee NRG, proudly used Australian honey to flavour their drinks. As a result, it has a rich caramel-like flavour with a sweet aroma.

The said kind of honey is safe for children because it’s non-toxic. However, I still won’t recommend this energy drink for children or pregnant or lactating moms since it has caffeine.

The drink is also slightly carbonated, adding a fresh and fizzy taste. Still, they really largely rely on honey for the flavour and so it’s very clean and pleasing all the way through and has no weird aftertaste at all.

Since the brand is really all about “natural” ingredients, it does accomplish what it set out to do. There are no complicated or artificial flavours and ingredients added, and the no-frills sweetness works well.

Where Can You Buy Bee NRG?

If you want to experience its bee-sourced power, you can purchase Bee NRG on their Facebook page. Simply send them a message, and an admin or moderator will come to talk to you in just a moment. As you do, you can freely check the comments and reviews of other customers who tried Bee NRG.

Bee Firm can arrange delivery from other countries far from Australia too! Isn’t that convenient? However, they aren’t yet available on other platforms like Amazon.

Alternative Energy Drinks

Here are other energy drinks that taste sweet, just like Bee NRG. My favorite, which REIZE tastes a lot gently, though, is a good choice if you’re not into sweet drinks like me.

Red Eye Energy Drink

Another energy drink that is proudly Australian-made is Red Eye energy drink. It contains high-quality ingredients like amino acids, B vitamins, guarana, and Ginkgo Biloba. Just like Bee NRG, this one also makes use of ginseng.

It may look classic because it’s in a bottle instead of a can. It contains 149 calories, and has double the caffeine content of Bee NRG, amounting to 106mg of caffeine.

Drinking this will remind you of the sodas you drink back in school. Nevertheless, it’s a perfect refreshment with great taste. However, aside from the caffeine, you need to be wary about its sugar content.

It has 36.3g of sugar. That’s a lot and is already over the safe limit. This one has a higher chance of give you sugar crashes, so you should limit yourself to one bottle per day.

You can purchase a bottle of Red Eye energy here and get to experience the taste and the enhanced performance in four different flavours.

V Energy

V Energy drink is also a very popular energy drink in Australia and New Zealand, along with other brands like Red Bull.

A 250ml can of Original V Energy has around 128 calories, which is a moderate amount to have in an energy drink. It has 85g caffeine and 26.5g of sugar. Although its caffeine is in a typical amount, the sugar content in V energy can be bothering.

So, you may be contemplating whether this guarana-filled caffeinated drink has, in reality, any benefits. On the off chance that you’re in a hurry, V Energy Drink has a wonderful taste with a decent mix of nutrients and fixings and a sensible cost for sure.

REIZE (Highly-recommended)

REIZE Energy Drink Sachet
REIZE Energy Drink

Just like Bee NRG, REIZE has only 50mg of caffeine. However, I do think REIZE is leagues ahead because it’s sugar-free and only has 11 calories.

The unique blend also contains taurine, ginseng, and B complex. All these combined make for a pretty effective drink that will enhance your mental and physical performance.

If Bee NRG is best served chilled, this one is so flexible that it’s still good whether in hot or cold water. Aside from that, REIZE also comes in handy 4g sachets that you can take with you anywhere.

You can get REIZE for only around $1 per sachet, and you can even have it delivered straight to your door. That’s amazing value for your money.

Final Say

Overall, Bee NRG gets 7 out of 10 for me. I like that it’s committed to a natural energy boost with the use of various nutritious ingredients and low caffeine content.

Its honey flavour is also very remarkable and not really something you’d see in a lot of other brands. However, its dependence on honey as a sweetener and flavouring has led to a substantial calorie and sugar content that I wouldn’t really recommend.

That said, if you want something with low amount of calories and zero sugar, I think you should go for REIZE energy drink instead.
