Bang is marketed more as a supplement for people trying to lose weight and also for those trying to increase their workout intensity, as it gives a bigger energy boost.

Bang is also the official drink of the Florida Panthers.

It is made by the American company Vital Pharmaceuticals, which is known for manufacturing and distributing sports supplements under the brand name VPX Sports. The company is located in Florida, United States.

Bang Energy Drink Caffeine Content

Bang initially had 357mg of caffeine, but this has since been lowered to 300mg of caffeine.

This is probably one of the energy drinks with the highest ever caffeine content, considering the daily recommended amount which is 400mg a day for healthy individuals.

Also, with that much caffeine, you might worry about whether it’s even safe to drink every day. For the answer to that question, check out my other article that covers everything you need to know to stay safe with Bang.

Bang Energy Drink Effects

Overconsumption of Bang Energy can potentially lead to the following side effects:

  • headaches
  • jitters
  • insomnia
  • rapid heartbeat
  • bad stomach

Bang Energy Drink Price

Bang Energy costs $26 for a pack of 12 cans.

You can order Bang Energy through their official website, and they usually come in cases of 12.

But the most convenient and best place to buy Bang online is probably Amazon. Plus, if you spend over $25 you get free shipping too.

Bang can also be bought in stores like Walmart.

Can you drink Bang Energy while on a keto diet?

In theory, yes, you can consume Bang Energy while on a keto diet.

Bang is keto-friendly, with 0g of carbohydrates and 0g of sugars.

However, Bang does contain some sweeteners which may cause your blood sugar levels to spike, so do your own research about whether it’s right for your dietary needs.

Bang Energy Drink Drug Tests

As of now, it does not seem that Bang Energy can cause you to fail a drug test.

There have been reports that energy drinks can cause false-positive drug tests. It has been found that ingredients such as Riboflavin and the unlisted Ibuprofen in some drinks can cause individuals to test positive for THC.

Watch the video below to learn more about food, beverages, and medications that might result in a false positive drug test.

Is Bang Energy Drink bad for you?

Bang Energy is bad for you especially when consumed excessively.

With the killer amount of caffeine, you really have to consider your individual needs and how your body reacts to caffeine. For some people, this could be way too much, but others can generally handle it.

Ingredients such as sucralose and acesulfame potassium, and other sweeteners, have not been fully explored so while they may be considered safe for now, it’s hard to know what the exact effects on the human body can be.

Bang Energy Drink Review

* All opinions expressed in this review are mine.*

Visuals

I managed to try the Peach Mango flavour, and my first impression of the can was that it was sleek and neat, and the design really popped.

However, the ingredients and nutritional facts were a little hard to read, because they were trying to squeeze so many things into it and white text against a black background is never easy to read.

Still, pretty good for the price that you get- it markets itself as an authoritative energy drink that doesn’t only boost your energy, but your brain as well.

That’s a lot different from a lot of energy drinks out there, which only say that they give you energy, but don’t make the bold claim that it increases brain capacity as well.

Taste

On my first taste, I was hit by a crazy amount of sweetness. Bang boasts that they have 0g sugar, but then why the hell is it so sweet?

The sweet aftertaste lingered well after I had taken the first sip, and it became just quite unpleasant after a while like I’d eaten a whole cup of sugar.

I think that the sweeteners are to blame for this- there’s not much point in putting 0g sugar proudly on the can if they’re just going to pump it full of sweetener. Was this to cover up the taste of caffeine?

It didn’t really taste like Peach and Mango either- it definitely smelled like it, but I couldn’t taste anything beyond the sugary taste.

I was pleasantly surprised that the drink was clearly coloured- it meant that there weren’t any artificial colours and was a nice change from the neon colours that energy drinks usually favoured.

Effect

Bang markets itself as ‘potent brain and body fuel’, and proudly boasts that its ingredients include ‘Super Creatine’, ‘Ultra COQ10’, and ‘BCAA Aminos’.

The caffeine was certainly a huge kick- I couldn’t finish the can because the caffeine content was a bit too high for me and barely halfway through, I found that I was experiencing stronger heart palpitations than normal.

It definitely kept me more alert and focused, and I didn’t find that there was an unpleasant crash that usually comes with sugary energy drinks.

Alternatives to Bang Energy Drink

If you’re looking for some similar, liquid-based energy drinks that aren’t quite so potent as Bang, take a look at:

If you want something a bit different and more efficient, try out caffeine pills, which give you that energy boost without the added sugar, and contain a majority of caffeine, with not much else.

Make it Mio is another caffeinated alternative to traditional energy drink cans, like Bang.

Powdered energy drinks are also great options, as they give you a lower energy boost compared to Bang, but with the same great flavour and improved efficiency:

REIZE (10 out of 10)

TRY REIZE!

In particular, REIZE is an energy drink that is easy to carry around and to make – just add water. It might not have the drastic kick that Bang does, but it is a lot more convenient.

REIZE ships right to your door for around $1 per drink, which is far more affordable than Bang and most other energy drinks.

Give it a try today and you might just find that you prefer REIZE to Bang.
