Do you ever feel like you need an energy drink but all of the ones at the store are just too boring? Well, we’ve got just the thing for you. Introducing, 5 Active energy drink, this energy drink is from an Australian energy drink brand.

5 Active Energy isn’t a famous energy drink brand, like Red Bull, or Monster energy drink, but it promises to deliver benefits that can be compared to these famous brands.

Not only does 5 Active Energy drink give you a boost of energy, but it also has other benefits. 5 Active Energy is packed with vitamins and minerals that are essential for good health.

However, if I had to give my opinion and rating to the drink, I’d rate it 6 out of 10. This can be due to my overall experience regarding the drink, which includes its caffeine content, price, and flavors.

Ingredients of 5 Active Energy

The ingredients present inside 5 Active energy drinks are quite common and you’ll find these ingredients almost in every other energy drink. However, I liked their energy complex. But they could still improve their formula – for me, B vitamins are a must in energy drinks. But I don’t see B-Vitamins in 5 Active energy drinks.

However, there’re still some effective and good ingredients in 5 Active energy drinks. Let’s check them out:

  • Carbonated water
  • GlycerPure (Vegetable Glycerine)
  • Citric acid
  • Nitrosigine (Inositol-Stabilized Arginine Silicate)
  • Natural flavor
  • Caffeine Anhydrous
  • Sodium benzoate
  • Potassium sorbate

Calories

There’re only 24 calories in 5 Active energy.

It’s essential to understand the importance of calories and their role in our overall health. Too few calories can lead to malnutrition, while too many calories can lead to obesity.

However, it’s also important to understand that not all calories are created equal. Some calories are more nutritionally dense than others and can have different effects on our health.

Too many empty calories can lead to weight gain and other health problems, so it’s important to monitor your calorie intake.

If you want to add 5 Active energy to your diet, then it’s the best way to speak with a registered dietitian or nutritionist who can help you create a healthy eating plan and adjust 5 Active energy in your diet.

Caffeine

There’s around 240 mg of caffeine per serving of 5 Active energy.

While caffeine is a major component of many energy drinks, the high amount of caffeine can be certainly harmful to one’s health.

It can have the following side effects:

  • Jitters.
  • Fast heart rate.
  • Dizziness.
  • Insomnia.
  • Dependency.
  • Dehydration.
  • Anxiety.
  • Headaches.

Moreover, the caffeine present inside 5 Active energy is quite high. While it’s common for American energy drinks to contain high caffeine content, Australian energy drinks don’t usually have such high caffeine content.

As per the rules and regulations of Food Standards Australia New Zealand (FSANZ), 485ml could legally have 155.2 mg of caffeine. This makes it controversial, and the company needs to shed some light on this.

Additionally, you can check out the video below to know both positives and negatives of energy drinks:

Sweeteners

5 Active Energy doesn’t contain sugar – which is a plus point, and I’d love an energy drink without any sugar.

The sweetness present inside 5 Active energy comes from Sucralose and Acesulfame-K. Both of these artificial sweeteners are sweeter than sugar. Sucralose is 600 times sweeter than sugar, and Acesulfame-K is 200 times sweeter than sugar.

So, if you don’t want to consume a sugary beverage, 5 Active energy can be a good energy drink for you.

Flavors of 5 Active Energy

There are 5 flavors of 5 Active energy which are mentioned below:

  • Cotton candy
  • Creaming soda
  • Cola
  • Lemonade
  • Strawberry lime

I tried cotton candy and creaming soda flavors, and to me, they both tasted pretty much similar. I liked both flavors. Cotton candy flavor was a little bit watered-down version of creaming soda.

Even though I found the flavor, okay, I can say that many people might find it like medicine tasting. So, I’d suggest you try it on your own to formulate any conclusion.

How many 5 Active Energy can you Drink Per Day?

As they can explicitly mention consuming only 1 can of 5 Active energy per day, so you should stick to it.

The reason is the high caffeine content of the energy beverage. It contains 240 mg of caffeine per serving which is quite high.

I couldn’t drink more than half a can of energy drink even in the afternoon, because such a high amount of caffeine is overwhelming. But if you’re someone who prefers highly caffeinated energy beverages, then 5 Active energy might be the one for you.

Cost of 5 Active Energy

5 Active energy costs you around $5 per serving.

If you want to try it for the first time, then you might find it okay to buy 5 Active energy drinks. However, regular consumption of this drink might be costly.

And I personally don’t think that it’s sensible enough to spend $5 on a can of energy drink. There’re many other energy drinks in the market offering better prices with more benefits – one example can be REIZE energy drinks.

Rating

If I were to rate this energy drink, I’d rate it 6 out of 10.

With its invigorating caffeine kick, 5 Active Energy is sure to give you the boost you need to get through your day. And I’m not just talking about a mental boost – this energy drink can help you ward off fatigue.

However, such a high amount of caffeine isn’t for me or for most people out there. Until and unless, you’re habitual of drinking high dosages of caffeine, I wouldn’t suggest you drink 5 Active energy.

The flavors of the drink are okay, not something I’d love to drink, but something I’d be okay to drink. I haven’t tried all the flavors, so I can’t talk about them all. But cotton candy and creaming soda were okayish flavors.

Finally, if I talk about the cost of the drink, then honestly, I don’t find the drink worth the price. If I’m to spend such an amount on an energy drink, I’d look for a drink that ticks all the boxes of being a good energy drink, but 5 Active energy has still got some boxes to tick.

If you’re looking for a healthy alternative to 5 Active energy drink, then I’d recommend you to go for the following energy drink!
